Looks much better, esp. the time/wether info. Not sure about having the time displayed so close to the edge is a very good idea, though...
Btw: I tested 0.2 on my HTPC @ 42", and I found the text on menues (left side) to be so small that I found it unusable :sorry:.

EDIT: Oh, the new weather gave me an idea for basic home screen... awaiting release of new gft and mod time

I missed the release of 0.2. Will monitor this thread closely from now.
Good work, and big for creating a 1080-skin (kudos for that) in a great minimalistic style!

Hmm, yeah that is right. I never thought about it myself but good caught. I will add it to the bugtracker and we will fix it for the next release. We are taking our time on this one and actually finish the stuff we talk about so it will take it's time. The first "official" release is not planned to be released before MePo 1.1.0.0 anyway.

Where would you suggest to place the time then? We are still trying to find that sweetspot and as stargate12 said we love feedback and ideas!

What plugin/part of the skin are you refering to? I know some menus are not the right/correct text size, but if you could be more specific that would be great!

We would love to see the fruit of that mod later!

sure we going to help with mods ....
just need more grafics ,now thir is not to meny to work with ...
let's see in next version if the guys will add more grafics ...

What kind of graphics are you thinking about? We are currently going in the other direction and removing unused graphics as we felt the skin felt to "boxy" and "unmodern" so we are kind of redoing the design of the skin. It will still keep the design it has now, but in another direction and even more minimal approach, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the comments, please keep it up! What do you think of the menus, dialogs. Do you like/dislike the music/movies/tvseries views? Have you find any weird bugs, behavior and so on?

hi n4orcer ! abut graphics a normal skin have abut 200 (not includ beagrownd and fan art) Essence have abut 40 (i count)
i dont remember i try to mack a mod for moving pictures and i was missing some graphcs ....

abut like ,i rally lke the way you guys going so far ...
abut no like ,im not rally love the new backgownd ,befor the backgrownd was smood and closy like the splashscreen ,it was looking better ... and some place the ditle are to close to eachther ,i think need little more space ...

abutt bug i find some but i wont to tack screenshots on my main sistem (42" full hd tv) and not on my test/work sistem rez 1680 x 1050so you can find and fix them faster ,the problem time not so mach this days ,but i will try in a day or 2 to do it ..sorry .
by the way thir is no fanart or backdrops showing in non of the plugin :weather/moving pictures/tvseries ..

Ahh ok, well we are missing a few bits of graphics here and there. But we will probably end up having less then other skins as we strive to be as "minimal" as possible.

We are working on fanart support, it's on its way! We are not really sure how or where to display it so we are trying a few things out and we will see what we feel is right.

Thanks for you comments, they do mean lots to us! If anyone have any suggestions, please let us know! We would like to know what YOU think of the design, if you see any problem areas, if some views in tvseries/moving pictures feels odd and could be better and so on!

hi guys ! when i talk abut fanart i don't means fanarthandler plugin , i means the fan art in moving pictures and tv seris the backdrops
of the moveis and tv that come with this plugins ..

LOVE THE NEW DESIGN ..EXCELENT WAY TO GO ...

I test this skin on my 42" tv ,and mack some screenshots with bugs ,i will post them layter on tonight ..

hi guys ! some feedback after test on 42" full hd LCD .(MP RC- 2 ,ALL PLUGIN MOST UPTATE VERSION) all screen resize from 1080p
to 1200p ?(size is to big to uplad her ..)

weather :screen weather 01 ,02 - first i tack 2 screen defrent backgrownd ,one with v0.2 wich i dont like so mach ,i think it's tack alut from the view . and 2 screen with older version more smoth ,i can say for sure the screen look mach better ,and can see all the ditle more clear.
second is the i weather icons ,the top line defrent style of icons and inthe box with ditle down is a defret style icons.

moving pictures : screen moving pictures - filmstrip view,
all logos (divx,sd...) are to close to eachder from 3.5 m looking like one line .need little space bitwin the logos ,in all views.
and the flimstrip i like the animation look cool, but i find the eye more focos on the reflection down the cover ,becoes it's more viseble ,
then the cover .

The background is fixed in our SVN, I have made the "lines" much more faint and they do not bother anymore, besides we have returned back to using the multiimage backgrounds again.

The weather bug is easy to fix, you just need to copy the weather images in the skin (Essence-1080p\Media\weather\128) to C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\weather\128x128 instead. In our official release the installer will automatically do this for you.

I am fixing those things in MovingPictures now, I am reworking the MovingPictures views aswell, so I will fix those things soon. I have made the logos bigger in the details view on our SVN and removed them from the listview, I might add them in again in the bigger format what do you guys think? Do you want the media logos on all screens or just the details view?

The music view is beeing overhauled and rewritten aswell, those things will be fixed and improved to the next release as I mainly copied the code from MovingPictures to have it working.
