Just wanted to let you guys see the current progress of the new design efforts, we would love to hear what you guys think of how it looks.

There are two bugs that we are aware of that are visible in these screens, the first being in the smaller thumbnail view, the last coloumn will be fixed. The other bug is that for some reason TVSeries will not display the current season up in the top left during episode view.

Most of the work have gone to the backgrounds, mymusic and movingpictures. Next is TVSeries where new views will be added and the episode view will be reworked.

From my test's on a 42" is perfectly readable. But then i'm only 2.7-3m from it so we might need to increase size some, you just have to test it later and let us know!

Thanks! We have planned to use MPEI instead of zip files, but I have no estimate on when. We have set the goal to have it working in a MPEI installer on v0.6 which we consider "good enough to be all basic features working". Depending on how hard and how much time it takes to do it we might do it sooner or even for the next release.

The next release is not scheduled to come until RC3 is released b/c alot of bugs we have in the skin are dependent on fixes in that release of Mediaportal though.

You can always grab the SVN version of our google code project page if you have a SVN client installed, that way you can keep updated on our development without waiting for "official" development releases.

Just wanted to give a little heads up.. We are busy with the current redesign and are almost complete. We will post updated screenshots once we are finished, should not take much longer though.

As for the next release, work will start on myVideos and myTV soon and we aim to have those done by the next release, we might slip in some other smaller plugins as well. We are planning on releasing v0.3 around 2010-06-14, about the same time RC4 is released.

From what you have seen so far, what are your thoughts? What plugins do you feel needs to be prioritized and complete for the skin? We gladly want to hear your thoughts and your critic so fire away and post your requests!

Thanks for the list, I will be adding those to planning of the skin.

On another note, don't you just hate HDD crashes and the loss of data? Will be a fun weekend recreating all source .PSD files for the skin that I lost yesterday in my HDD crash.. I knew I should have backed those up earlier..

Otherwise, skin progress is good. Expect an preview and perhaps a new v0.25 release to help us try out the new design in the coming week!
