    Hi Tony,

I should say that mod44 is working great for me also. Last night 1.2.1 seemed a little faster but i tried again this morning and i dont really see a difference between mod44 and 1.2.1

    Logs attached.

    Regards
    Jacob

The TsReader logs in both .rar files are from version 'v0.4.12' - this is the MP 1.2.1 version.... ;)

    Tony

    DOH

I switched tsreader.ax without restarting MP. I guess that does not work.

Here is the correct log file. Does seem like mod44 is a good second slower than 1.21. 3 sek vs 2 sek

    regards
    Jacob

    OK - thanks - interesting....

I agree that stability is more important than speed but it would be awesome if you could figure out why the new tsreaders are slower.

    Keep up the good work!

I actually find the opposite :) (but I may be using different codecs, TV channels, video card etc)

Are you saying you get hangs when going between SD <-> HD (i.e. black screens etc ) with noStopMod44 ?

Is this single-seat or client-server, MP TV server or 4TR ?

    Tony

No the hang SD <=> HD was related to the 1.2.2 version. The 1.2.2 with modified graph built does not show this also noStopMod44 does not show this.

    Infos what I also have:

    Single seat
PDVD11 codecs for HD and SD
    LAV 0.44 audio codec
    ATI with catalyst 11.11.

BTW: It was not my intention to cause a discussion about the value of the modifications posted here. I simply wanted to post my findings to help improve things. So sorry for that.

No problem at all :) - I just thought it was good moment to explain the reason this thread exists - keep the feedback coming :)

Your and mylle's comments and logs have already generated a few 'speed up' thoughts/ideas to try ;)

LAV 0.46 is out with a new version of the Quicksync-decoder. And for some reason it now works in both mpeg2 and h264 using TsReader_nostop44 on my end.

    Strange but positive :)

    Hi Everybody.

For the last month I have been running at Mepo TV-client with a backend TV-server.

And i'm sorry to say.........I'm very disappointed with the overall performance:-(

Tsreader keeps getting discontinuties(This may be due to my wireless N-connection between Server/client - but i'm have no problems streming 720 And 1080P MKVs).

This is resulting ijn both picture and sound corruption - sometimes picture even feze completly.

I'm running Mepo client 1.2.2 with SAF 6.06 and PDVD 11(Unlocked SAF). (ATI 6310 graphics with latest ATI driver ver. 12)

Can someone please help on on this - Seems that Tsreader doesn't handle discontinuties very well:-S Any way of optimzing this?

Tried the "don't drop discontinued packets", but this does not help at all.
Tried the experimental Tsreader - but this did not have any effects at all.

    Please see attached logs

    Thanks
    Morten

    Hi Morten,

2 things that you definately need to try is:

    1. Cable your setup. At least to rule out if your wireless connection is the culprit or not!
    2. Install ATI driver 11.4. all other have problems in one way or another.

I could also be the quality of your signal. On your TV server in tvserver configuration, try to use "manual control" to tune a channel and see if you have any discontinuities in there. If you see continuities in here its probably your signal or tvcard driver problem.

Try that and report back what you find.

    Regards
    Jacob
