I have followed your work and finaly deceide me for a testrun, and I tested the v45, it work pretty well on live tv and sd, but on a test drive to an recorded hd tv episode mp crash at once, it working with vlc and the orig 122 version. se my ts log file.

I kept half an eye on this thread for a long time as we've experienced some trouble during playback of recorded TV programs. Lately I decided to test the experimental tsreaders, but they don't seem to have an impact on our problems. So, if this is the wrong thread to talk about this, just shoot tell me

My system specs are not fully updated yet, one important missing thing is that I used 4therecord.

Whenever we play back a recording, the playback suddenly stops, as if it reached the end of the recording. When you restart the recording, it starts at the beginning, just like when you played something to the end. There was a long period when I checked "prefer RTSP for recorded" and this solved the issue I think (I don't watch TV a lot, mostly the girlfriend).

Yesterday my playback just kept stopping over and over, so I ended up watching it by using the Videos plugin.

The added log should be a clean log, debug mode with all plugins.

I can see why it stopped in the logs - in MediaPortal.log:

The 'currentPos > duration' is the trigger for the MP TV player to stop playback because it thinks it's reached the end of the file, but only 12 seconds before it says that the playing position is only 728 secs into 4200 sec video....

There's not enough logging to show why it thinks 'currentPos > duration' - there's probably been a glitch in the position or duration data

Is the v45 log for when it hangs ? - the log looks OK (a few continuity errors, but nothing else strange I can see). Can you post a full set of logs for when it hangs ? (I need to see what's in the other logs).

here logs , it happened also with v44 (sorry i didn't get logs ). i'm going back to v41 on the wifi laptop to see if it happens also with v41

There is only MediaPortal.log in the .rar file - as I said before, I need all of the logs

Well, I got tired of looking for the issue. One windows-reinstall later everything seems to work fine

Hey Toni with the actual git version i cannot seek anymore using unc. The Playback just stops.

Thanks for the feedback - but it did say "WiP" (work-in-progress) in the Git commit comment, so it's not much tested

Does it happen every time ?

Does it only happen with UNC ?
