Probably I am doing something terribly wrong, or I dont understand completely what to do, but mpeInstaller doesn't work for me.
I am on Windows 7 and have MediaPortal svn 24669. I unzipped mpeInstaller to the MediaPortal folder as instructed. Now I find (amongst others) MPInstaller.exe and mpeInstaller.exe there. When I click on MPInstaller.exe it works and the old (?) installer opens.
However when I click mpeInstaller.exe the installer opens, but the Installed Extensions and Known Extensions windows are empty and (even more annoying) I cannot close the installer the normal way anymore. I get an error saying:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close.
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\ProgramData\TeamMediaPortal\MediaPortal\\Installer\V2\InstallerSettings.xml' "
Moreover when I click Quit it does not close and I have to end through Task Manager.
What am I doing wrong ?
Update: Solved meanwhile. I had to install the MPEIPlugin.0.0.3.1.mpe1 as well !
