Delete your database, thats the best answer you will get without logs.

It meant that as long as you're not posting logs along with your reports, ltfearme probably won't reply to this thread. Sorry if it came out harshly.

lol - thanks for the explain Emph ;) no hard feelings
I'm really not that worried about it, it seems to be down to the quality and sizes of the images.
Once I get back from my hols I'll have a proper look...

fyi...images will only be re-sized if downloading from an online source (at least that is what I read in the code).

Back from my jolly holls now :)
I usually download them from the online sources so that might be an issue.
Once I get some breathing room and the missus gives me permission ;) I'll have a good play about and see what happens.
    Thanks @ltfearme

Well if you let MovingPictures download them from online sources then that wont be the issue as conversion takes place then. It's only if the files are local i.e. it will detect you have the poster/fanart already and it doesn't need conversion.

And that seems to have been the exact issue :D
I disabled the local checking in the importer settings and deleted all the existing imagery, allowed MP to redownload it all again and tested = MUCH quicker!
    Nice find @ltfearme - Thanks!

Now I just have to force English for the artwork ;)
