Now I just have to force English for the artwork

You can't force it, its based on the language settings defined in MediaPortal.

themoviedb.org and fanart.tv support localised artwork so we're taking advantage of that. Unfortunately we have no settings to control independent language settings from MediaPortal at this time.

I discovered that the sizing seems to have an impact on that too - I guess some sizes just are not available to some languages
Anyhow - I got there in the end!
