In general: I think FH should handle ALL items like banners, CDArt, DVDArt, ClearArt, Artists thumbs etc.

He's almost doing it now.

Then we would have the freedom to reference those with just #fanart.handler.xxxxx and no longer using extra plugins like DVDArt or similiar

I'm afraid we need to rewrite the plugin a lot, change its concept. I'll think about what you can do. But I have not yet been able to transfer the full functionality of MePoTools.
FH, while updating the ClearArt, only for those elements for which there is no backdrop.
