Fanart Handler (2 Viewers)

Hi Dadeo,

I also have a question. - what if users want to use the fanart handler for music but not for videos? Is there any condition I can use when Videos is disabled in the plugin?

The only way that I can think of is using the 91919293 control. If it isn't visible the user has disabled fanart or no fanart was available. Set the visible tag on that control to no. The plugin will set it to yes if fanart is available.

I am still not entirely clear everywhere the fanart handler is supported.

I use WindowId to add support to skin files (because of different plugins use different tags for artist/title).

List of supported skin files (selected fanart)
* myMusic (all but the shares view)
* Last.FM
* GlobalSearch (not in detail view because there is no artist tag available, the #artist doesn't get filled)
* Music Videos
* mVids
* YouTube.FM
* myVideo
* myScoreCenter

Good tip! It worked well, except it screws up the default backdrop which also uses the 91919293 control. The problem is I want to do one thing when fanart is disabled, and another when fanart is enabled but not available.

The only thing I can think of is to just provide two xmls for videos - one with fanart and one without. It only applies to MyVideos as all the other plugins use Music Fanart (EDIT: except Score Center). Maybe I will put my thinking cap on and come up with another idea! Now where did I leave that cap?

Thanks for clarifying that - I was not sure how you were controlling it. I had an idea (oh no!!!) that I could use define codes to link diff properties to #selecteditem and thus enable fanart in some other plugins/areas since I believe you usually match on #selecteditem. But I get that won't work since you are fading between multiple images.

The music scraper is sweet!

Does catch a few wrong pics... but its not so much the scraper as the naming of the pics...

Now just need a way to disable pics available, like in MP TVSeries, so the wrong ones don't show up.

Why download fanart image with numbers after the name of artist ? ex : st germain48866.jpg

is it possible to download only like that ? st germain.jpg


and is it possible to copy some fanart manually in music directory without disturbed fanart handler ?

i guess the idea is so you can have multiple fanart for one artist.
