I just downloaded from google code site - it worked fine - but only dll is there now, not mpi installer with db.

same her ,but her not work fine i got only 1 fanart out of 50 ,

edit : just have mp scen again my music collection ..and now the fan art start downlading like crasy ..
i now add 30 more artist so im testing with total of 80 artist ,

edit 2 : finsh test with 80 artist time 10 mints (and i set the nomber of fanart to be max 6) i can see the most problem is the name ,have to rename all of them (wall i can see some o.k -the one emphatic uplod )
i can say all artist scand and downlod ,afcorse some no have on the wabe (i know wich no have ,i was downlad manuly ...befor )
out of all i can say 3~4 % are wrong but i thing it do to rename of the fanart from start ,when user upload them.

i thing great prograss...

Hi,

The plugin handles music fanart in this way;
1. It takes all files you have in the /thumbs/Skin Fanart/music folder and adds to the SQLite database (files not already in the database).
2. It then list all artists in your MP MusicDatabase and loops the artist and tries to retreive fanart from htbackdrops.

NOTE;
If you have alot of local fanart already then perhaps the scraper will not retrieve any file from htbackdrops because the Max image count property is perhaps already "filled".

The local fanart that you allready have. Put it in the /thumbs/Skin Fanart/music folder. make sure the filenames matches the artistname. To have more than one image per artist add numbers after the artist name. Like "Madonna 01.jpg".

I went and tried the new release out, but with about 100GB of music. It has finished pulling in all of the artwork which took about 30 mins and for the most part has done it correctly.
there are a few where it has got the wrong artwork pulled in but It will take me a while to go through and find them all. I assume that the miss-picks are due to how the logic works, It it worth me giving examples?

As everyone else I also tried it on my very large collection (285 artists)
What I noticed so far that it seems to download some images twice. My guess is that there is just one image but I have set it to download 2 of them so it will download the one image the x amount of times defined?

This feature seems really promessing. I have my own personal collection of some music fanart which I'll up to htbackdrops pretty soon.
for all the hard work!

Nope it's 2 resolutions, 1920x1080 and 1280x720. A setting for controlling that would be nice but I guess you already figured as much

First of all thnnx for the new update. It is getting better and better.

I was very curious about the scraper. I've seen al those backdrops at htbackdrops.com and thought i want those too.

So I picked up the dll fot the scraper. i know it is only for skinners. But using it there were some things going wrong.

As you can see not for al the artists there is a download for backdrops. For some artists the name is not corectly.

For example the name Celine Dion is alright. There are even two backdrops for her but nothing is donloaded.

Am i doing something wrong?:sorry:

Hi Cul8er, hope you had a merry christmas, and congrats on the new release of x-factor (479)! I don't know how you found the time!

First, does the plugin support Music/Playlists (window id 500)? You only said Not Music Shares, so I tried to use it on Playlists. #fanarthandler.music.backdrop1/2.selected properties would not work (they display for a split second and disappear). So I tried #fanarthandler.music.backdrop1/2.play and they work properly. However the default backdrop does not work correctly using !control.isvisible(91919293). It displays for a few seconds (the length of seconds varies) and then magically disappears! It 'looks' like the plugin is processing the .play properties and when it tries to switch to the next control, the default backdrop disappears. Nothing appears in fanart handler log or error log or MP log.

I have had a number of problems with !control.isvisible(91919293). If I combine it with any other conditions, it seems to take a very long time to process, sometimes the backdrop will not appear for 10-20 seconds. Once it does, then it displays perfectly whenever fanart is not visible.

Can you duplicate either of these issues? I can certainly work 'around' the issues, but wanted to let you know.

Also, are you expecting fanart handler issues to be reported in your issue tracker yet? If so let me know and I will enter them there.

EDIT: Just tested on X-Factor 479 and I have the same issue with background disappearing in Music Playlists
