try this and let me know how you go. there are 2 files, one is the guide on how to do it and the other is the SQL script needed to add the channels to the DB. I would suggest making a backup of the database first, just incase I have made some big mistakes.

This scripts only target the tables "channel" and "tuningdetail"

Hi, Thanks for the script. It added the channels fine (although I have a few more and you have some I dont have, so I'll need to mod it slightly).

Problem is when I go to watch them, I get sound but no picture :-( I have installed both the elecard MPEG2, and AVC plugins for WMP.

Same thing happens when I try and do it from the website first

Any ideas?

this is where you will need to run graph edit where you are trying to watch the stream. This will show which codecs the are used to play the stream. It sounds as though only the audio codec is connecting

Also, on the website, you must use VLC 0.8.6 I think otherwise you will have problems...TPG are a bit slow on the up take with the later versions.

Thanks for the help. I'm not really sure what I'm doing with GraphEdit but I clicked "Render URL" and added the elecard url into the box. It created a graph that uses FFDSHOW as the video decoder which probably wont work. When I click the play button it gives me a blank screen with audio too. So I manually added the Elecard MPEG2 HD codec and tried to draw arrows to it but got an error: "These Filters cannot agree on a connection. Verify type compatibility of input pin and output pin. No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. (Return code: 0x80040217)

Ideas? :)

Edit:

I reinstalled the Elecard AVC plugin and now GraphEdit loads the elecard filter and plays fine. However MediaPortal still won't show it. Also under H264 codec in MediaPortal Configuration under Television, there is only FFDShow and no Elecard codec. Is that a problem?

Plus I don't know if I'd like to use the elecard codec for regular DVB-T either.

Charli181 - How have you got your codecs configured?

I have iptv up and running now, but with some glitches.
Some channels won't play nicely in mediaportal. Other play perfect.
    It's the same with recording.

If you see the attached pictures. Channel 1 is crap, while channel 2 is perfect.
I've also attached pictures of the graph for both channel, and codec information from vlc for both channels.
The log is of some short recordings i made to test. Some recordings work perfect in mediaportal and vlc. But some won't show anything but stutter in MP and full of crap in vlc.
As you see some of the channels have multiple audio and text. Could this be the problem?

It looks like your provider problem, can you watch those channels fine in settopbox? In your logs there are some discontinuity errors or packet losses

Yes i can play all the channels nicely on a settopbox. Kreatel 1510.

Is there anything that would disturb the signals? my router?
Can i test the .ts file in some program to find errors in the stream and see what they are?

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I followed the steps on the first page.

It finds channels and the preview in TV Server configuration plays the channel fine, but inside MP, when I click TV ON button or select channel, MP freezes for about 10-15 seconds, then I get the error Connection to TV Service lost.

I can see in Netlimiter, that the stream is playing (taking bandwidth) in the background, even if i exit MP. If I go back in MP, select active streams, it shows my channel, but when clicked on, it says no audio/video found.

Already tried diferent filters in media portal configuration, the graph in graphedit looks fine and it plays the url elecard://239.1.1.115:5000:i=10.120.130.140:t=m2t/udp. VLC plays it too.

Tried to solve this for a couple of days anf It's getting really annoying. :(

I've attached the logs, if it helps.

    Thanks

Edit: Problem solved Reinstalled Windows Vista and everything works now :D

So if anyone else has "strange" problems, it's best to just do a clean intall.

google for "ts analyzer" and try first three links - software that can analyze your ts files

don't use an ipin the network livebox range (192.168.1.2=> 191.168.1.xxx),
use an ip like 192.168.0.1 so you will have less problem

    Hy,

I noticed something strange, which is probably problem with my IPTV provider.

Here and there i get this behavior:
Channel is working fine. Than at some point i get error to unable to start timeshifting. I checked channel in VLC and graphedit where it's played just fine. I tried to reimport channel and it updates it but no changes. Then i changed named of channel in m3u and import it as new one. Newly imported channel was then working fine. Then i checked info of both channels and noticed that ServiceID was different. Changed ServiceId at old channel to new value, and also the old one started to working. Than i was going to repair all bad channels and noticed that some channels have all values the same. But newly imported channel is working and the old one doesn't. So i guess there are some hidden values?

Perfect solution for me would be that at importing stage all channels would be totaly rescaned. Becouse now i need to delete old one. Import it again and than remap it to all the groups that i have.

Please give me feedback if this is posible.

    Regards, Tine

Hi, as far as I know, if you start scanning again with the same m3u, channels with the same name are updated so it should work out of the box

    Hy,
Today this hapened again with one of my channels. So at first i tried just to update it. It didn't work. Funny thing is that today id didn't say
    New:0 Updated:1 but New:1 Updated:0
I'm 100% that name of channel wasn't changed.
Then i deleted channel. And imported it again. It started to work.

I'm ataching 3x rar files with logs.
preview.rar - > Preview in TV Server config. Before reimport
update.rar -> Trying to update channel
    import.rar -> Importing after deleting

I hope this helps you somehow.

    Regards, Tine
