FireDTV DVB-S2 and Mediaportal (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I need some help to get TV Server work with a FireDTV DVB-S2. As I have read and tried out, this card doesn´t work with the latest svn builds of the TV Server. In this forum is written to use an older version of TV server. But which one?

I always used Mediaportal and TV server with a FireDTV DVB-C. It worked fine and I was happy. Currently I am using DVBViewer to watch TV, but I want to change back to Mediaportal.

Can someone help me pls? Does someone use TV Server with FireDTV DVB-S2?

I think that you are wrong marc76, as the issue is using built-in Tvengine 2 and not using TV3.

Can you give us a link to the post you are speaking about please ?

If you read Dman's comment S2 is only supported in TVE3 (TVServer) and the Guy who wrote the post did not have this installed.

Ok, you are right.

So, I have to use the latest SVN of the TV Server?

My Problem is that when I do a scan to find the channels, TV server scans only the 1st Transponder. Then it stops scanning.

I already thought that DotNET is the Problem. I installed .net 3.0 but do I need this one, or even an newer version of version 3?

I have checked again what is needed to run TS here: TV-Engine 0.3/requirements - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation I have all this installed

I have attached my logs and screenshots. We have a Technisat Gigaswitch 11/20 with Astra 19,2 and Hotbird 13. I´m not sure if my lnb setup is correct (see screenshot). I have already tried a lot of different settings.

1. You say that you have installed .net Framework 3, how about version 1.1 and version 2?
2. do you use some kind of modified (themed) windows? because the text/font of TV-Server Configuration is "strange".
3. i suggest that you uninstall mediaportal tv-server and DELETE your tvlibrary database. then install latest tv-server svn build and try again.
4. please report back after you did this. thx.

Yes, I have 1.1 an 2 installed.

I only changed a font in the windows theme. No special theme installed.

I will try with reinstall. I have already reinstalled, but never deleted the database.

you should realy delete the db _before_ you reinstall the TV-Server.

if you use M$ SQL server, then you need to do this in the "Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express"
i you use MySQl, then you need to delete it with the "MySQL 5 GUI tools"

Deleting the DB solved the problem. Now TS finds channels. I´m still waiting that scanning is finished, but looks good
