I believe MPC doesn't provide DXVA in their mpeg-2 decoder. And if you are not using DXVA there is no problem....
Neither does ffdshow... so that is odd.
I dunno. I just know that it works for me.
could be the deinterlacing's set to 'auto'?
No fix, still on the board.... Happens a lot less for me now with my HA H.264 content, but still shocking on my MPEG-2 content... One day
Thought I'd add my 2p.
Just started happening tonight for me having switched out a 3450 for 4550 (in order to get Multi-Channel PCm from the card).
Some channels work fine, others stutter like crazy and I'm getting the flicking in gui (particularly EPG).
H.264 using CoreAVC seems fine.
Oddly the 3450 worked fine (both are using the 9.5 CCC full install).
I might try a full re-install from the OS up but enthusiasm is definately waning regarding HTPC's. After a number of years I might just have to switch to individual devices as WAF is in the toilet here (she won't use the HTPC).

Well some months are gone and still noone did investigate my theory of changing GPU memory clocks... The devices which are not affected might either not support powerplay, come with identical factory default speeds or using manual clock settings. Maybe someone is fed up enough to try it next year
