Okay, this screenshot is with the Maya skin. Do you see the same problem with Blue3Wide?

Which version of MediaPortal are you using? I know that the more recent version of Maya have been updated for the forthcoming MediaPortal 1.2.0. Maybe this is the problem.

If this is a problem within one skin, you are best to post in the forum section for that skin.

Thanks for the reply. I am running 1.1.0.3. Yes it happens with all screens including the default Blue3Wide.

The machine is XP SP3 and has previously been using gbpvr without issue.

Anyone have any ideas? I have tried different screen resolutions, different skins, different renderor. Not sure what else to try.

Have you tried deleting the skin cache?

C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache\[your skin name]

This also looks like an issue that I used to have where the group name would stretch over the whole screen. I searched, but can't find my post about it. The issue eventually went away for me. I was doing the whole svn thing at the time so can't be sure what cured the issue. It never returned though.

I would perhaps play with screen resolution as well. This may be a stupid suggestion, but you never know. EDIT: I Just read your first post, you have played with screen res. ignore this.

Hi Chris, cheers for the reply, yes I have tried clearing the cache as well as about 6 different resolutions at different various aspect ratios. Its pretty annoying as everything else is working as expected now so just this to sort. The issue is pretty bad that often I can't read the text at all. Thanks anyway though

I remember having some similar issues a long time ago (I guess it was somewhere before 0.1.3.0 !). I am not sure what helped it, but I think updating to a more recent gfx card driver did the trick.

Thanks mbuzina, I updated to the latest version of the driver for my graphics cards (Nvidia 7600GT) but that didn't fix it either. What a mission!

So I just reinstalled Windows 7 and all the latest hardware drivers followed by Mediaportal all from scratch and I still have the same damn issue! At this stage I now presume it must relate to the graphics card I am using. I am going back to XP now (as my machine is a bit slow for windows 7) and I will try the 1.2 beta version of mediaportal to see if that helps. If not them I guess I will have to look at a new graphics card if I want to use mediaportal, otherwise it will be back to gbpvr /nextpvr so I have something usable.
