OK, we'll look at this for 1.3.1.I don't have the "REC"-symbol anywhere, not even in MyTV.

Brilliant! As with many people I wanted to be able to import my existing MP recordings into the ForTheRecord database, so I've made a little utility to do just that.
.... thank you for that. i tried your importer and it works well but i have a problem here with my old recordings (which i did on german premiere and other channels). the channelnames are different now so your plugin cannot import them. for example i have some recordings made on "MDR FERNSEHEN" but now my provider calls it "MDR Thüringen". would it be possible to do something here?
Thanks!Brilliant!
Nope, no mapping, hasn't been a problem for me as I've always used UNC paths. I'll look into adding this in.Just one remark: For The Record likes its recording files to be on a share since in a multi-seat setup clients can be anywhere on your network.
So do you do any mapping from a C:\ path to a UNC path in your import tool?
Ok, I'll go and post it there now.Perhaps you could also post this tool on the For The Record forum in its own thread, it will make it easier for people to give feedback then. Perhaps in the "Other Resources" section e.g.?
... run and then entering 'services.msc' and hitting enter.
In the services window, find 'For The Record Core Services' in the list and then look at the 'Log On As' column.
XMLTV generally provides much more detailed information, like the episode title, the director, the actors of a movie, etc...One more question - why is XMLTV preferred over DVB? I've found DVB-S much less hassle to set up and use - I'd hate to (and won't) go back to using XMLTV...
