In 1.3 it uses the reverse priority for recordings as for live TV. In version 1.3.1 there will be a new switch in the Settings panel of the Management Console to use the same priority for live TV and recordings if you prefer this.

Thats makes sense, only thing that explained what I was seeing - because of the setup I have my preferance would be to use same card order for live and recorded TV.

On a different point I have redone the Aeon wide screens and ironed out some issues, I am testingb these now but should be ready for the 1.3.1 release.

Thanks

Trevor

Excellent news. Feel free to post them on our forum, I'll add them to the 1.3.1 setup for maximum convenience then :)

One thing I have noticed (using 1,3,1 beta 2), going into Upcoming programs then clicking into one gives you a list programs matching that schedual using the 4tr_ProgramInfo.xml. This in turn uses the controls 12, 14 and 15 to display time, title and description..with 15 using #TV.RecordedTV.Description, 13 and 14 an empty label.

The problem is that as you scroll down this list the time, title and descript do not change to match the program you are on.

Have I missed something or this expected behaviour?

Yes, I see what you mean. This is indeed expected behaviour, the top information is for the actual program you clicked on. But I can see how this may be confusing to some, then again, changing the information could confuse others,... Not sure what most people would prefer.

Thats ok then, wont worry about it, not that you can actually do anything when in that list. What would help is setting the number of items correctly and tag with screen/schedule name , Scheduled Programs->Merlin maybe...might need to think on that.....

Two weeks ago I installed and tried to use For The Record in MP. I had various problems related to tuning and watching TV. In the end I could only get things back to normal by re-installing MP.

Needless to say I'm a bit scared to take the red pill again, but it's all so tempting since I can't find this functionality elsewhere. Is there any description somewhere how this works under the surface? As I understand it 4tr replaces something called the TV server plugin. What exactly is the TV Server plugin? Exactly what functionality will be replaced in MP when I install 4tr?

I figure that I might dare to try again if I know more about what's going on.

It totally replaces "MyTV" in MP.

Is there any article or chart describing the different parts / modules in MP and TVServer?

I'm still not sure what exactly MyTV is. Is that the TV player (as in really takes care of playing the stream) or just some kind of GUI functionality? How does MyTV relate to codecs and other settings in the MP config and TVServer config?

If I install For the Record, is there a fool proof way to uninstall it so that MyTV and everything works just as before?
