    Hi

Can someone tell me what controls conflicts, just set 8 recordings, all to start at 2100 hrs over 5 transponders, which is physically impossible for my 2 tuners to cope with, did i miss something setting wise, or has this yet to be implemented.

Otherwise very impressed with the integration so far, and as for the scheduling options i was always a big fan of those anyway :)

Do you think the AEON skin for 4TR 1.2 can work with this version?
They won't work without modification. The good news is that the skin files for version 1.3 are simpler than the ones for 1.2.1, so hopefully it won't be much work to get this working.

Feel free to pose working skins to our forum (For The Record - View forum - MediaPortal Client Plugin). I'll make sure they're included with the next point-release then.

No, no, conflict management is fully implemented and quite advanced even :)

So let's see what confuses you: are all programs shown with a red icon and none with a greyed-out icon?

Also, you can always check the right-most column in the Upcoming Recordings section of the Management Console which will clearly show you what card a program has been allocated to.

To handle conflicts you can increase or decrease the priority of upcoming recordings, or cancel them altogether and let a repeat take over if there is one (which are also shown if "Show skipped recordings" is on).

I think that ForTheRecord is absolutely amazing at scheduling recordings, but I quickly stopped using it again due to the decrease in WAF when having two different "TV-plugins". I might look at it again now that LiveTV has been implemented. This would potentially make this a complete "MyTV replacement", right?

I just think that most of this is actually something that MP should be able to do on it's own, without having to install a plugin. But if this is the way to the perfect HTPC at the moment, I think I'll give it a spin once more.

Yes, there is no confusion anymore since For The Record now seamlessly replaces the existing My TV section and is no longer shown as a plugin.

    Hi dvdfreak,
I've read all the thread, and I'm impressed. I've used old TVScheduler, but this is way much better.

    Just a question:
It replaces MyTV, ok. So, when I'll install a SVN, I should de-select the "tv plugin" in tvserver svn snapshot installer, that's right? Else, I've to re-install the mediaportal plugin of 4TR, right?

    Thanks.
    :)

Don't worry, you don't need to do anything: the existing TV plugin will be disabled by the For The Record setup.

There are no Aeon skin files yet, so hopefully someone can whip some up (perhaps the author of the Aeon skin him/herself?).

    Great.
So, SVN Installer no longer detects TVplugin and no way to mess up all the things! :D
Well, not sure if SVN Installer will not mess things up actually, it might. So proceed with caution...

Also note that For The Record has been compiled against RC3 and has only been tested with RC3, so SVNs are to be used at your own risk.

Mhm i really like Aeon Wide and i don't want to switch to another skin. But i've not the knowledge to modify the skin files. Aeon does include some 4TR files but these are for 1.2.X or so.

I've another two questions regarding 4TR:
1.) How do i import my old recordings?
2.) i'm using DVB-EPG cause i've not found any XML-TV Source for all my Channels or i'm to stupid - who does wake up the TV_Server for doing an EPG scan when i've to disable PowerScheduler?
3.) 4TR does also send the TV-Sever to standby?
4.) What kind of scheduling can i do in MP GUI which i cannot do with MP itself?
5.) My most problem with MP is (for example) i want to record all "Dr. House" series on Wednesday but only on Wednesday (time does not matter) - i've not seen how to configure this through MP GUI - i do not want to use an external program like Web GUI todo that.

At the moment i'm not shure if i need for the record or were my advantage is when i only use MP.
