Same problem for me ... I have not this problem with 1.1 Beta 1 ...

I think RC1 is much more sensitive ...

It's really disappointing !

I have exactly the same symptoms already mentioned in this post: Continuity errors, dropped frames ... DVB with a good signal (80 - 100%).

My TV card is a Hauppauge Nova T500.
MediaPortal is installed Multi-Seat: TVServeur in W7 and Client on Vista
All drivers is up to date and Windows have been re-installed on Serveur and Client.

I'll test it with another program tonight, I would say if the problem persists, but as it works well with MP1.1 BETA, there is a good chance that it also works with other software.

Same symptoms, but possibly not the same causes.

Reporting of signal strength is not always reliable, as different cards/drivers use different scales.

A good chance, true, but that does not help us work out whether there is a problem, or to solve it.

However, I seem to have made my point, which was serious. In order for the team to have a chance of fixing these problems, you need to follow the bug reporting guidelines and provide full logs (not just the TsReader log) as detailed in MediaPortal Forum - Announcements in Forum :

Otherwise the developers will simply ignore incomplete reports.

Hi guys,

I thought I might post something - that might be relevant - might not be - but who knows

But I have been a "long term" sufferer of stuttering/potential dropped frames. From beta through to RC1 (inc SVN's in between)

I have tried several things, new dshowhelpers, various core dll, etc.

I recently did a complete clean build with RC1 and Manfred's core dll (to solve black screen issues) - I also went straight to SAF4.

This unfortunately gave me "micro stuttering" everso often/not all the time.

I switched from PDVD Codec's to MS codecs (as Tourettes claims they work) ;-)

Upto now the micro stuttering has gone away, and everything seems to play great (both SD and HD) - nothing like tempting fate!

I still get the odd dropped frame in the log, but its not noticable now. Unfortunately I've lost the "shift F1" option due to the core.dll.

Maybe some of the issues/handling of issues is due to the PDVD codec?

Can't wait to see how RC2 performs

i had the some log entrys, so the same problem´...
it wasn't a signal issue...

try to disable rtsp stream (search on the forum for this) and try again.

maybe you problem is gone
