Global Music Search v2.0.0 [2014-02-19] (2 Viewers)

I'm running MP 1.1 beta on Windows 7 RC1 with StreamedMP 0.9x installed, and I can't get GMS to work at all.

I've tried both a manual and an automatic (mpi) install of GMS 1.7.0.

Any ideas?

No clue since I run it without problems in MP 1.1 beta (my own mod buld based on) latest streamedMP.

Do you have this file in your mediaportal directory?

I finally managed to get it to work after a full reinstall and a few xml tweaks.

Hm. This is strange.

If I search for 2PAC, i do not find anything.
Then I go back to My Music folder, and play the 2PAC folder.

Then I go back to search for 2PAC again, and then I can see all the songs in this rescent played folder?

How can this be? Am I missing something?

So now I have to go in to all folders before I can search in them.

nobody who can help with this ?

removing the cue files solved the problem.

Im also experience problems with this plugin. Im using Windows 7, MP 1.0.2.0 and GMS 1.7.0 and when I try to search for music it wont find ANYTHING.
Actually nothing happens at all, so I really dont know if it do a search or not?

Seems like many experience this problem... Have nobody find a solution for this yet?
Is d-fader still developing this plugin?

Yes I did, I also enabled the "Auto update DB on changes in Shares"

Still nothing!

That's what I was going say. This plugin works great for me (indispensable really when you've got 1,000+ CDs worth of music). I had the same problem as PussyWagon too and I think rescanning fixed it

Well, rescan dit not work!
Im trying to get this work in a temp folder with only a few albums. When searching for example "bad" (michael jackson) it wont return anything! I have tried all different views when doing my search and it seems like it only searching whats on screen? So when having all letters on screen and I search for "bad" it will return "B" when I enter B and when enter next letter A it wont show anything as there is nothing with the word BA in the view. But I guess It should find EVERYTHING with the word "BAD" in tags independent of how many sub folders or where the file/files is?

Could any confirm that this plugin works on:
Windows 7
MediaPortal 1.0.2.0
MGS 1.7.0

Could that be your problem? I'm using GMS 1.7.0 with MP 1.0.2, XP Pro and it works perfectly....

EDIT: Have you selected the "Search Fields" from within the skin? Are you sure that the skin you're using supports the plugin properly? If you're not give BleazleWide a go (click the link in my signature) - at least then you'll know if it's a skin issue or not because (depending on what fields you have selected to search) the plugin should pick up everything with "Bad" in it as you said..
