Anyone feel like sharing their keymappings? I would like to see what everyone thinks as the best configuration.

Yes since the newest release of the keyboardinput plugin it does not seem to find the XML in the old location... Will look into it and get back with you soon.

There have been multiple versions of the KeyboardInputPlugin around; it was originally developed by me but other people have created customized versions when I didn't have time to maintain the plugin. Different versions may store the XML file in a different location.

The latest version that I released two weeks ago (2.4.3.0, available via MediaPortal Extension Installer) stores the Keyboard.xml file in the usual [userdata]\InputDeviceMappings folder (e.g. %AllUsersProfile%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings, see Folder/File Locations - MediaPortal Wiki for more information about folder locations).

However, the MP 1.2.x-compatible version released earlier by Deda seems to store the Keyboard.xml file under the \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Defaults\InputDeviceMappings folder, so you may want to have a look at that folder as well.

Note that the 2.4.3.0 version will actually read the Keyboard.xml file under \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Defaults\InputDeviceMappings as a 'defaults' file if available, so it will actually pick up the Keyboard.xml file created by Deda's earlier plugin. However, all customizations done using the 2.4.3.0 version will be stored under [userdata]\InputDeviceMappings as explained before. The [userdata] directory is also recommended by the MediaPortal team for storing such files.

Thanks for that rsenden.:D
Found it.
The power button is set to sleep in the windows 7 power settings. Havent been able to find a work around on non-waking up with the power button or any other button on the remote. Device manager shows the remote as a HID device with power management enabled but no joy. So I have settled with just pushing the space bar on my keyboard that sits on top of my entertainment unit.
Yellow button adds a displayed song to playlist and Green displays current playlist. ( haven't tried a music video yet).
The Media center button W is set to go to the basic home screen from anywhere within the MP menu system and once at basic home screen it will toggle between the two types of home screens. You have to disable Microsoft media center services under the Additional 3rd party checks tab in the MP Configuration for this to work and select basic home as the preffered home screen.
FM Radio button brings up My TV Series.
DVD Menu brings up TV Guide.
Everthing else is the same as Lifesaver74's.

Hi All,

i was wondering if anyone has been able to fix the wake up problem.

I have the same problem, but only with windows 7, if i try it with windows vista (on another pc) it works.

    Hi cargen

Under power management in the bios settings, thiere is usually a setting to allow any key press to allow wakeup, is that enabled.
Also does the receiver flash, when in sleep mode, some motherboards only supply voltage to usb ports 0 and 1 when in standby (at rear).

    Hi thanks for the reply.

My bios doesn't have this option.
    But I activated usb legacy.

The ir receiver blinks when I click the power button on the remote, but system doesn't go out from sleep mode.

My normal keyboard does wake the system without any problem on three same port.

Does this device show up under the device manager "usb controllers" section, if so does it have a power management setting there.

    On the first question.
The keyboard wake pressing any key.

    On the second.
On the power manager tab, I have already ticked the flag to let the remote wake PC, for both mouse hid and keyboard hid.
note, on the power manager section I have disabled also selective usb option.
