Reinstalled my machine today on a SSD, I was able to use the new ds helper dll with SP2's evr. I'm happy finally black blacks and the latest evr.dll. Not sure what was different on the clean install, but it could have been anything I did alot of messing around over the last 6 months on the last build.

On a side note man is tv-series and moving pictures fast on a ssd, amazing. SSD sure makes a difference when it comes to fan art and other images.

Or SSD just points out that Moving Pictures and TV Series aren't having good caching code and/or separate worker thread for the fan art loading :)

I wouldn't go that far, everything is just snappier with a drive capable of 230MB/s reads compared to 60MB/s. :)

Good caching logic is always a sign of good code. Programs should be written to work nicely with other than the latest HW as well (of course if there is not some hard limits like decoding 1080p video etc.).

I read in the SVN forum of 1.1Alpha that this issue has been fixed. (actual post) or (the thread).

Yes, it is fixed for 1.1.0 Alpha + SVN, but there is no replacement DLL for 1.0.2 (and many users therefore need to wait for the 1.1.0 release as they aren't interested in alpha / SVN builds).

I'm kinda annoyed that there is no "HOTFIX" for this... Surely it wouldn't take a long time to fix...

Have to wait for months now for this issue to be ironed out..

On a side note, can anyone comment on the sability of 1.1.0 Alpha ? Is it good enough for basic TV watching/recording yet ?

Thanks for the heads up disaster ... Can anyone else confirm ?

    Yes confirmed. :)

Hi 1stdead.. you using 1.1.0 Alpha with the plugins in your sig ?

    thanx

Yes. Movingpictures has a bug in 7.5 and 8.0 in both alpha and stable versions of MP(getting fixed for 8.0 though). MPTVSeries 2.3 working excellent. DriveFreeSpace, not sure, havn't tested it. OnlineVideos = yes. My trailers should work too. Youtube.fm, working but no configurated. My lyrics, dunno. My sleeptimer = Probably yes. In all havn't tested all, but no errors when running MP configuration.

Skin though is outdated, using BlueWide for testing instead. Waiting for indigo :(
