    Thanks for the comment....

Unfortunatley you can't make the file smaller using that software I am in the process of writing the guide on how to achieve this.
The software you need is also freeware and called ripbot264 if you want to google it and give it a try.
If you have any questions feel free to ask I will always help if I can.

    ;)

AW: guide : How to convert .m2ts to .mkv

    Hi.
You can use tsmuxxerGUI do demuxx m2ts streams from HDD and muxx them to mkv with mkvtoolnix. Both are free and easy to use. No big deal and no tut necessary any more...
If you have "real" BD Disks or BD Images it's just easier. You can use MakeMKV to convert BD to MKV with one mouse click. Also no tut necessary.

The resulting MKV has lossless picture and sound quality. If you want them to be more compact you can convert them with nearly all Programs of that kind. Super!, XMediaRecode,... are just two free and easy to use examples.

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...
