I've found something that I think most NVIDIA users would like to try. By default, the full colour space (0->255) isn't available to us, but it's an easy thing to fix with a handy little tool. More info + the tool can be found here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...using-hdmi-and-getting-accurate-color-format/

You'll need to apply it everytime you update your gfx driver though, and once you've tried it, you'll immediately notice the difference. ;)

I have followed your excellent guide and now have great audio on TV and videos but I would like to improve my music which being mainly 50s and 60s Rock and Roll needs all the help it can get!:) Can you or anyone suggest a DSP that would give it a lift?
My setup is stereo speakers with a sub woofer, Marantz AVR fed with optic cable. TIA;)

Are you using BASS or WASAPI?

    At the moment WASAPI

OK. I don't use DSP effects myself, so I don't know what's possible, but you might wanna check here before WinAmp disappears for good: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/dsp-effect/5

Thank you for your quick response, Yes, lots there to choose from, I will do some trials.:)
Have tried several but they either produce spurious noise when changing track or drop out when exiting and re-entering music, can anyone recommend a good one (that works!), sorry if this is off topic

Just stumbled on this great article. One question, thought I saw an answer in this guide, but can't find it any more. I've followed these instructions, and when I press Shift+1, I get a flat red line, flat yellow line, but a cranky green line as you can see in the screen shot. What could be the problem, or is it OK?

Looks pretty much perfect :). The green line isn't important as long as the time is low (4.8ms on your screenshot) - it just reflects the complexity of the picture which was decoded.

Hi! first of all thank you for the great guide!
I'm new with mediaportal but I can say that is exactly what I was looking for.
Unfortunatelly I encountered the following issue: during the movies playback is shown a black frame (for a second or less) with an occurence of 8-10 times in a movie of 1h and half. So is not a very big issue but is pretty annoying.
The setup made is exactly the one reported in the guide except for:
    1. The audio render (I'm using an external sinto/amplifier HDMI connected).
    2. The refresh rate fixed to 60hz because my currently tv is not able to process the 24 format.
My feeling is that the black frame is due to an syncronization issue (during the black frame the audio is not stopped)

Please there is someone that would like to give me an help to fix this problem?
    Thanks

I set the configuration like described and TV seems to be much smoother than before. THANKS!

But since then DVD Playback/Audio seems to have Problems: No DD-Sound with DVD-Images (TV DD is fine!)

My System is conected via SPDIF.

Any Idea how to get DD Sound for DVD back again?
