Hauppage 350 45 button Remote not working with RC2 of Media (1 Viewer)

Yes, that's exactly what I've noticed as well. When starting MP, it crashes when the HCWHelper loads. If I disable Hauppauge remote support in MP setup, MP loads fine.

Here's the error log:

Just to update you - still having no luck getting the remote to work under RC2

My hauppauge remote does not work with RC2 either. No problems except the double click effect with RC1. Also, in RC2, I can't start mediaportal with the remote from windows by irremote.ini cause the new mp daemon seems to block it.

I have a PVR-150 and the remote doesnt work for me either.
I use RC2 with the latest CVS (mediaportal-cvs-01-03-2006--01-03.rar)

MP crasch upon start if the remote is activated.

No problems in RC1 except the "double click" issue.

Have you tried closing the Hauppauge remote control program from the task bar before running MP?

Another Update - Yes - I've tried it with theHauppauge IR program loaded and unloaded - same problem.

I'm convinced its something to do with the HCWHelper program - when I try to run it it keeps appearing and disappearing from the task bar. Nothing in the logs to indicate a problem though.

I've recently noticed that if you start a movie and try pressing some keys - ie the number keys and the volume down key - it does work for those keys alone. However - the mian keys - ie up down left right and enter - dont seem to work at all.

Any more ideas people?

Maybe a clue? The Log has changed - I keep getting this in the mediaportal log - it keeps repeating until I shut down media portal
