    Hi everyone

MediaPortal 1.2.0rc has been released! It is my sincerest hope that this will spell the end for all the tricky patching that has been required up until now. I have updated the first post to reflect this. With that said, please continue to report any issues that you find, whether specific to the Colossus/HD-PVR or MP 1.2.0rc. All bugs can be reported here (remember to post your logs).

As noted in the first post, there is one outstanding issue with Colossus and HDPVR support in MP 1.2.0rc - that is the compatibility issue with Hauppauge's Windows Media Center plugin. Details and a patch for 1.2.0rc can be found in the first post.

I recently got the Colossus card a few days ago, so sorry if this is a repeat issue. I haven't spent the time to read through all the posts, but wanted to provide some quick feedback.

I have my card connected throught the RGB+WR Audio inputs. I'm running 1.2 RC with Win7 x64 Pro Edition. I have both a HVR-1600 and Colossus running together in the PC.

    I get the following results:

    CVBS1 and S-Video yield me "Preview failed:NoPmtFound"

YRYBY shows video. Its really more like a still shot of what was on the screen at the start of capture. But this does not seem to change at all.

HDMI is blank as it should be because I am not using the HDMI input.

I have the same results regardless if I am running on the Patched .dll or the non patched .dll.

    Hi DaRacerz

    Cool - no problem. :)

    CVBS1 and S-Video yield me "Preview failed:NoPmtFound"
That's because they're not connected. See the "inputs" information in the first post.

You're using the "preview" button in the TV Channels list, right? I'm almost certain this is either a codec or audio input selection problem. Try specifying the audio input in the tuning details for one of your channels - use "Line In #1" for the RCA R/W audio connections. If the channel still shows freeze frame then you have a codec issue. It would be easiest to ignore the problem and try to view the channel in MP if that is the case. The reason I say that is that the codecs that will be used for TV Server preview depend entirely on your system codecs being configured correctly (which is rarely the case when media programs or codec packs have been installed) - technically codec "merits", which can be managed with filmerit or radlight. The codecs you choose in MP configuration -->here<-- (make sure you do that by the way - absolutely crucial) have no bearing on TV Server preview because the TV Server is not always installed on the same computer as MediaPortal [client].

    So to reiterate:
    1. Check and correct the audio input config for one of your channels.
    2. Test with TV Server preview.

    If still not working:
    1. Configure codec settings in MediaPortal configuration (Microsoft codecs are recommended for simplicity at this stage).
    2. Try to view the channel in MediaPortal.

Perfect. Thank you! Works great now. It was a matter of setting the Audio to Input #1 manually. And I had to test using Media Portal. I am suprised the TV Config Preview is failing to work especially since my PVR-1600 channels show up just fine. But its cool! I'm happy now!

I have noticed it takes a good bit of time from selecting a channel till i see a picture on the screen. Probably like 10 or 15 seconds. Is there any possibility to speed up this time significantly such that is delays only by a couple of seconds? This would make it more usable.

BTW, do you have any links for donation (paypal??) for you work in getting the Colossus driver working in MediaPortal? Much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Fantastic! :D

The 1600 channels probably use a different audio and/or video format, hence different codecs selected. As mentioned, this can be fixed by managing your system codec merits.

10 or 15 seconds feels long. Can you please post logs for a handful of typical channel changes in MP. Please use the watchdog - it makes things easy for both of us:
    0. Close MP.
    1. Find the "debug mode" shortcut in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu.
    2. Start it.
    3. Select the first option "report a bug...".
    4. Click "proceed" to start MP. Note that 3rd party plugins and skins will be disabled - don't worry, it is only for the debug session.
    5. Start TV.
    6. Flick backwards and forwards between a handful of channels to reproduce the problem. Max of 10 changes please.
    7. Close MP. This will trigger the watchdog to start creating a zip file of all your logs for the session.
    8. Post the zip file here.

BTW, do you have any links for donation (paypal??) for you work in getting the Colossus driver working in MediaPortal?
I don't accept personal donations, but you can donate to the MediaPortal project as a whole -->here<--.

    Best regards,

Still struggling, event with 1.2rc to get a tv program on the screen. I know I am missing a setting somewhere. The tv schedule shows up but when I click on Channel I get "No data available" for each channel and I get the cryptic message

    Unable to Play: live2-0.ts.tsbuffer

I also get this when I choose the TV ON.

Do you need a log to help on this one? Thanks, Dave

Here is the log on the Unable to Play: live2-0.ts.tsbuffer message. I clicked TV ON and this came up.
