I'm using the MCE Remote Plugin... It offers the blaster function, but I got the same problem with the control buttons as others posted here... I will test with the most recent SVN, anyway, to see if that problem has been fixed (while using this plugin). Do you think I'll have any problem? As I understood, there was just a problem with the remote "signature", am I right?

Hum... I still got the MCE control problem. I think/guess that my problem is related to the use of MCE Replacement Plug-in...
Let me think.. while using this plug-in (I wasn't able to put MyBlaster at work...) I'm really not using the MCE control of the standard MediaPortal (the plug0in uses its own control implementation)... this way, any corrections in the main code would not affect the plug-in at all.... Am I right?

Do you want me to send any log files?

Correct, you're using different code then. And-81 might be able to help you, he wrote the replacement driver plugin.

I have a similar issue. My DVICO Fusion remote is allegedly emulates an MCE remote. The arrow keys and OK work fine. By navigation during media playback doesnt.

I have this issue as well - my arrow keys and OK buttons work but rest do not. This remote works perfectly with MCE and SageTV. In my logs I see this device signature which is not in the ehome xml file.

I've tried adding this line:

<transceiver deviceid="#vid_147a&pid_e00d" name="IR Receiver" />

to the eHome Infrared Transceiver List XP.xml file and still nothing. Any ideas how I could get this going?

Code:
2007-10-20 23:43:40.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: MCE: Found: \\?\hid#vid_147a&pid_e00d&col01#6&1a98549&4&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}
2007-10-20 23:43:40.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: MCE: Using: \\?\hid#vid_147a&pid_e00d&col01#6&1a98549&4&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}
2007-10-20 23:43:40.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: MAP: using default mappings for Microsoft MCE
2007-10-20 23:43:40.765625 [Info.][MPMain]: MCE: MCE remote enabled

Thanks.

Hi i have the same problem, hauppauge 150, remote & mediaportal.
Got my remote fully functional..:D
This is what i did... hopes it help

irbus.inf - i add my ehome device id vid..xxxx & pid...xxx, then install.
recognised as ehome receiver.

on the system hid device, look for ir device tranceiver.
at the mediaportal root, add a line in ehome list tranceiver.xml with the vid & pid.

:)

Sorry to post troll, but I have the same problem. Admittedly, I am using a MCE remote specifically designed for Vista in a Win XP Home setting, using the drivers posted here on the MP website. I can only get it to work by using HIP, but only the five main buttons (arrows and OK).

I cant find the ehome ir reciever list.xml file to edit.

Where is it located in MP 1.0 RC1?
