Well, I've try to modify tswriter to handle eac3 streams.. and it seems to work!
My workaround is not very clean but HD channels are back.. so ...
By the way, i'm using 4TR plugin so I dont know if it will work with the tvplugin.

Not really a bug - it's just an unsupported audio format (by design), probably because it couldn't be easily tested.

Requires v1.0.2 of TvServer

Same problem with the French eac3 patch.zip (nice try !)
Tried to re-register tswriter.ax (regsvr32) => same black screen when starting TF1 HD, France 2 HD & M6 HD.
Tried last ffdshow codec, and enabled E-AC3 : same problem

hum.. are you sure to have copied the files in the right place?
I say this because I added a trace when I patched the TsWriter.ax and I dont see it in your logs?
