Hi first up is like to say love the software and hopefully will be using it in a dedicated HTPC to replace our soon to be unusable TiVo, I also have a few ideas for some plugins so once I get up to speed I may start developing them.

As I'm using mp1, wouldn't be a big leap to be able to use the same code an repackage for mp2, is my thinking flawed?

Currently using mp1 as the plugins that provide the same functionality as our TiVo, are only available in mp1 and I have a bit of time with the test environment so I'll keep an eye on the available plugins for mp2 and upgrade later before full build of my HTPC.

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. MP1 MP2 MP stuck on splash screen DE
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
