    gemx,

did you get time to review my logs and my raw ts ?
Maybe here in Italy we are in a similar situation as for US, but I don't know where to grab this info ;-(

I have created a new Dump on the same transponder as those logs. I have uploaded it members/gemx. It should be about an hour and a half until it's done.

Hi gemx - many thanks for looking into this; I will most definetly install the latest revision and post back results. FYI - I am using a revision from a few weeks back (not at home so not sure which exact date) and have "epg grabbing while idle" disabled and timeshifting epg enabled and it grabs the full epg as long as I tune to an EPG carrying channel (as ASiDie described) for approx 20 minutes daily.

    Will post my logs soon.

    Hi Gemex,

I have figured out how to fix the star ratting for NA Epgs. I uploaded the small change to the patch queue. I am also an experienced programmer (mostly C#, but can do some c++) and I've just finishd rebuilding my HTPC with VS 2005 etc to work on some of these EPG issues. I would be more than happy to help out any way I can. If you would prefer to do some of this through PMs or other more real time medium, just let me know.

I also see "gaps" in the guide here in NA and have since day one. This never quite worked right. Also, for some reason genera and classification do not get written to the DB. I've tried assigning them a constant in tswriter, but they don't seem to update. I haven't tired this with timeshifting update yet, but will do so when I get home.

Also, since upgrading to last night's SVN (sorry don't have the number, not at home) I'm only getting two hours of data in the guide instead of 48 hours...

    Thanks

    gemx, tourettes,

here the log from my test using 16643 SVN build.
I also attach my export.xml to get an overview of the channels/transponder.
The test is done using the following list <channel timeshifting> <transponder> (number of channels):

    <SportItalia24> <.> (11 ch )
    <LA7> <MBone> (13 ch + 1[MBONE])
    <Italia1> <Mediaset> (17 ch )
    <Rai Edu1> <Rai> ( 6 ch )
    <All Music> <Rete A> ( 3 ch )
    <tvtv DIGITAL> <tvtv> ( 1 ch )

I left 3 channels on <TIMB1> because they are only test channels.

Let me know if this helps somehow. Also take care that all channels on <MediaSet> have problems with TsWriter.ax, but this is a well known history for you.

I have some channels without EPG and some other with only 2 entries, the actual program and the next one.

In particular, Mediaset, Rai and MBone are working fine on external DVB-T box.

Just thought I would chime in here. I previously reported that I only got two hours of the guide, I actually only got the first two programs. However, after leaving it overnight, I got mostly a full guide minus a few gaps. This is with the idol grabber.

I have not seen this behaviour before though, so it was introduced fairly recently, so they could be related...
