OK, I finally got the log files for the problem with recorded TV crashing when trying to fast forward, rewind or skip.
Some more interesting information is that the same thing happens when you press the OSD button.

So to recap, when watching recorded TV (using Recorded TV) and using the new TS reader, pressing ff, rew, skip or "i" causes the video to crash and leave you back at the list view of recorded tv.
Watching videos via MyVideos does work, but the timeline seems to be corrupt.

All works perfectly when using the MP client on the server itself. This only affects MP clients on remote PCs.

I have a weird problem with tsreader. If I have it enabled the PC reboots it self without leaving any traces in the log files after a few minutes, the only thing I get is a minidump. I've tried disabling tsreader and then the PC is rock stable.

No logs, should I still post a bug report?

    - MP+TVE3 rev 15494
    - PDVD 7.3 Ultra rev 3104a.1(also tried with 2911)
    - ATI HD2400 with Catalyst 7.8
    - WinXP MCE

If I could get you to reproduce the problem when using this custom TsWriter.ax https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showpost.php?p=174947&postcount=145
(Then there might be valuable information in the TsWriter.log file - so please post also negative results)

I don't get a picture with that version of TsWriter.ax :( The problem seems to be in TsReader.ax... I did a dumpchk on the minidump and it's pointing at mediaportal.exe.

First I would suggest to try a different MPEG2 codec (and also without HW acceleration). It's not possible for any application to vause BSOD (it's possible only if the application has own drivers running in the kernel space). I would suspect that the TsReader is just triggering some bug in the 2400 drivers. 2400 / 2600 sirie cards are pretty new and there are lot's of open issues with their drivers currently :)

    hi,

first of all thanks for the work on the new filters ...

I try to figure out why i have some problems using tsreader instead of filesource.
Tsreader works fine for my h264 tsfiles even it works with EVR enabled for my
skyHD cabs its the only way for using EVR.

    The problem i have is with MPEG-2 HD tsfiles. I don't use a TVcard so i can't
say something on liveTV but i wanna use tsreader for my tsfiles.

When i start a MPEG-2 tsfile from myfilms or myvideo first MP seems to load the
movie but nothing will happen and MP seems to be frozen. I can't navigate and
even close MP. The only way is to completely terminate MP ... After that MP
seems still in the background because MP setup asks for closing MP and trying
to start MP again also doesn't work. The taskmanager of windows can't be
started it even doesn't come up ... The only way is to log windows off and
login again than you can start MP ...

In attachement there is a rarfile with two folders in there one with the logfiles
with EVR and one with VMR9. Because of the reason the problem is with and
without EVR i think the problem is belonging to the rsreader.

Oh, the file works fine with the old tsfilesource but with it i have problems with
my skyHD cabs and EVR :)

Oh if forgott, i tested different MPEG-2 decoders ...
