I cannot reproduce the issue you are seeing. If you could provide some logs it would be nice.

I think I have seen similar behaviour couple of times. It happens on .ts recordings that are really slow to startup (up to one minute, HD led constantly lit) and slow to seek. On those same files sometimes seeking fails and MP shows suddenly much bigger duration for the .ts file ( 30 min recording might become over 12 hour recording.) Also sometimes pressing stop on those same files will cause the whole MP to crash.

I have uploaded two .ts recordings for Frodo to have a look. Let's hope that the issue I was seeing is caused by the same bug(s) as issue that ncrukrepairs was seeing.

    Hi,

As an additional piece of information, the same recording which shows the problem (in fact for me it is all recordings) on my two client systems plays back perfectly on the server (I can rewind and fast forward smoothly).

If I turn the new filter off, I can rewind or fast forward through recordings, although the screen is not updated.

This might be daft question, but where have the log files gone? I don't have a subdirectory inside MediaPortal called "log".

Also, for this type of problem, do you need client logs or server logs, or both?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

Here are the log files (information level set to debug) from the client and the server.

Started MediaPortal on the client, navigated to My TV, then to TV Recordings. Scrolled down the list to find an episode of Heroes, hit okay to start playing, let it run for a few seconds to make sure it was properly started. Hit fast forward, and playback stopped and it went straight back to the list of recordings.

This has happened with every recording I've tried so far.

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, please let me know what else I can do.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

I just had a problem when I recorded a show on Disney Channel using mpeg and 4 audio streams only two streams got added to the recording. This happened using rev 16533.

Will do some more testing but maybe others can see if they can reproduce this issue?

I have the same issue as ElliottMC.
On the server, all works as it should. In the client, the playback is fine, but any skipping or fast forwarding or rewinding just kicks you back to the selection screen (same as pushing stop).

I've tried this with all types of codecs and this haooens every time (of course I am also using the new ts filter)

Perhaps this is related to my and others' problem seeking in the timeshift buffer as well? I have sent you logs before in this thread regarding this. I can just say that I still have the problem with SVN 15533. Also having a problem with the pciture starts to stutter slightly after a couple of minutes viewing. This is true for Cyberlink V&A an MPV. When restarting either MP and/or TV server it is okay again for a couple of minutes... Can't say in which SVN this started though...

When going back with the old tsfilesource the above problem go away... But then you have the problem with the timeshift buffer and slow channel changing... But for now I have given up TSReader because of the above problems. Mainly because of the bad seeking in the timeshift buffer since I tend to pause a lot and almost the whole time looking through the timeshuft buffer...

If frodo would fix these anoying problem I think it would be near prime time use!

    Regards.

TsReader has nothing to do with the recording process. It's possible that your broadcaster is using dynamic PIDs and couple of missing audio channels weren't present in the stream when the recording started. Please, have a look following thread:

    Hi Marcus,

Thanks for backing me up on this one. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I don't suppose you could post logs for this? I'd be interested to see if there is anything similar between our systems.
