Maybe if I explain everything I did once I installed Vista... Maybe something I did here stuffed it up...
After I installed Vista, I:
- Installed MB, Video Card and Netgear Drivers
- Rebooted
- Installed Windows Updates
- Rebooted
- Installed Haupaugge HVR2200 Driver
- Rebooted
- Installed programs; ESET Smart Security, ffdshow, EVEREST, Firefox, VLC, WinRAR and uTorrent
- Rebooted
- Installed MediaPortal with MSSQL (second fresh installation MySQL)
- Added folders to 'My Videos'
- Scanned for 1 DVBT
2 DVBT
1 Analog
2 Analog
- Setup EPG settings
- Viewed MyTV (worked perfectly)
- Connected using Remote Desktop connection
- Did not do anything. D/C'ed remote session
- Rebooted
- Launched MP and got the error message "Connection to TV Service lost"
Further System information:
- Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
- Neweset ASUS and Haupaugge drivers downloaded and installed from their respective websites.
As I stated before... I no longer think it is an issue regarding permissions. If a developer could take a look at my logs it would be greatly appreciated. I really do not want to resort to Windows Media Centre and would really like to get this working.
EDIT - Manually deleted logs in the directory. Re-opend MP. Error. Closed. Here are the logs.
