How to configure IR Blaster to control TV in MediaPortal?
Like for example "Turn off or on TV" or "control volume up or down" ?
Or its not possible?

HI

Yes it is possible

Firstly you can get the remote to learn commands from other remotes - the TV on/off button and the voume control can both be re-programed (i dont think you can do this with any other buttons tho). I cant remember the key presses you need at the moment but as soon as I fnd them i wil post details.

Second you can send commands via the IR blaster - I would recomend looking at IR server suite. It is incredbly flexible and not too difficult to use. As an example you can learn commands from other remotes and map the command to a button on the MCE remote. You can do this in MP only or as a system wide command by using the translator program that is part of the package.

have a look here

I would recommend looking through the help file to get an idea of al the things you can do

Thank you for this tip! I'm moving MP TV Server to a new machine. I installed the 64-bit version and most of the MP firewall rules were set to Public. I couldn't connect to the new TV Server from my old single-seat installation running 32-bit until I changed all MP-related firewall rules on the new machine to Private. Before I did...

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

Many many years ago, I opened a bug report after I got that same message but I never got a reply. The reason was I had unchecked the Windows Media Player item in Windows 10 Control Panel > Program and Features > Turn Windows features on or off as I didn't need it, without thinking that it was needed by MediaPortal. I kept the "Media...
