Im trying to find out how you merge a subtitle in .sub format with an mkv file.
I use mkvgui to merge a .srt file, but it wont take a .sub file.
please help
Sub files are just "pictures" directly extracted from dvd's. You have to OCR them with subrip or alternative programs and then you may add the .srt file in mkvtoolnix.
MKV now has been used widely online and offline, especially for HD movies. This file format supports subtitles which make it be more popular in saving movie files. But not all MKV videos have subtitles of course. So if you wanna add subtitles to MKVmovies, you are in need of a professional tool for help. Now I will quickly walk you through the way to attach subtitles to Matroska .mkv files with an easy-to-use tool.
that really sounds like an authorization issue. do you already have an OpenSubtitlesConfiguration.xml in the programfiles\tean mediaportal\subtitledownloaders folder? there you can fill in your credentials. I'm sure it is documented somewhere...

To be more specific: I don't see, under either "Grabbing Listings" or in the "First use example," where it is designated just where on one's C drive the tv.xml file is...

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin.
I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder.
I can watch the movies just fine.
In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...

Fixed, I think.
Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.
Last time when I installed the...
