Hi,

MediaPortal 1.3 Beta supports native blu-ray playback. But what's about 3D ? I have a 3D blu-ray but only the 2D-Version is played. How can I play the 3D version?

Hi,

did you find a good working solution?

I tried the arcsoft TMT plugin but it seems to have problems with 1.3 Beta.

internal bluray playback works excellent with all other blurays except 3D :-(

Thanks

You can use an external video player just for .iso and .bdmv files. That way you can play 3D movies in external software and all other videos in MediaPortal's player. Moving Pictures plugin does also have this option in its advanced settings.

The downside is that all .iso/.bdmv files will be played externally - also 2D movies.

Not working, MP try playing BD iso with internal playback anyway.

I'm pretty sure it works since I'm using it myself :)
Did you try MediaPortal's external video player settings or Moving Pictures?
Can you show us a screenshot of your settings?

I would have to know more details, and ultimately, I'll have to test it when I get my new display, but an AI answer I got (I don't trust AI and this may not be correct) was that HDR is encoded with the HEVC codec and I know MePo uses the HEVC codec to play 4K UHD Blue-ray discs. So, there is at least the possibility that it will work...

Thanks again for all the help. I deleted 'BDHandler.dll" from the process folder, and as expected, it no longer appears in the MePo configuration utility.
