How to transfer all of one's own data / settings to a new installation on another Notebook? Is there an import, export option?

Is there a portable MediaPortal?

Just copy “C:\Program Data\Team MediaPortal” to your other PC. In case it’s about media settings (watched/unwatched, progress, …) activate user management in your clients. Once you log in with the same user on your clients all media settings are shared.

    Many thanks.

That sounds easy. So just copy the entire C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal to the new installation.

Isn't it possible without log in? I do do not want to do it each time?

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.

If your XMLTV guide isn’t populating, setting up an EPG Collector can solve the issue by giving you control over your guide data. This tool lets you customize the EPG to match your needs, ensuring accurate and complete listings. The main benefit of using an EPG Collector is flexibility. You can pull data from reliable sources, adjust...
