A priori round corners can be added without too much hassle. The easiest way may consist in displaying your picture as-is (where edges are transparent) in a fully transparent window.The problem with round corners and dropshadow is, that it's easy to make in Photoshop, but pogramming a window useing transparency or shadow is much harder (correct me if I'm wrong)than just a square window. If one of the developers can do this "trick" I think we should totally break the square look and do something in the style of Photoshop
As a reminder, the splash screen is not purely decorative. In the background the MediaPortal.xml file is parsed and so we only know what skin we will use *afterwards*. A kind of catch 22 situation.we could make the splash screen load the skin background. Sounds hard, but I think it's rather simple.
