MiniDisplay plugin works in test, not in MP

Hi,

one year ago, I configured my first htpc - at that time with MP RC1 and CybrDisplay Plugin. The imon Pad and LCD Display worked quite well then.
In course of some upgrading, I finally changed to MP 1.1.0 Beta, and also switched soundgraph Imon Software to 7.63.0831. My updated system configs should be visible next to this msg.
Actually, configuring imon LCD seems to work very easy now with Minidisplay-Plugin - congratulations for this peace of helpful software!
When I'm trying the test-Display-button, my imon-LCD-Display reacts, it shows MP-Symbol and MiniDisplay - iMONLCDg. Depending on what I've selected in Advanced settings, afterwards starts the ugly default clock or frontview.
But when I'm launching MP, frontview display mode stays. Log (see attachment) shows that there's a problem initialising the plugin. Any idea to fix this? Or should I go back to MP 1.0.2?

I downgraded to 1.0.2 now. With this version, MiniPlugin works fine with LCD and Imon Pad remote, or at least most of its keys. So it seems for time being. My compliments to the developers of Minidisplay - I configured it' predecessor one year ago, and this time it was really easy!
I'm looking forward to a stable 1.1.0 which includes the results of cooperation of MP and Soundgraph. Would be great to have a GUI window in MP config for the Imon pad remote similar to the one included in MP for remotes like MCE.

Any news on Soundgraph LCD + Minidisplay + MCE Remote?

I would like to know if anyone has a working setup already for this combination:
iMon LCD (Antec Remote case) + MCE IR-Remote + Minidisplay

I have spent hours with this setup about a year ago (driving my wife crazy) and could not get display and MCE Remote work simultaneously:
- MCE Remote (over Soundgraph SW) + Minidisplay Plugin + LCD does not work
- iMon Pad (over Soundgraph SW) + Minidisplay Plugin + LCD works
- MCE Remote (over Soundgraph SW) + Minidisplay Plugin + VFD works
- iMon Pad (over Soundgraph SW) + Minidisplay Plugin + VFD works
- IRSS Suite + LCD + MCE does not work at all, receiver hardware not reckognized
- all Soundgraph versions tested

Ended up with disabled Soundgraph software and plugged in the separate ugly IR-Sensor of the MCE remote... embarassing for me and Soundgraph

Honestly I do not feel like spending another frustrating hours of trying this all again, only if someone confirms that it is possible to achieve.

I ordered a Logitech Harmony last night and will program it as iMon Pad as only solution (I cannot stand the iMon Pad itself)

That's right, it's not working. I talked with Chemelli and he said Belcom neede to make a remote USB connection to test it, but he hasn't been around for 3 months. So think nothing is going to happen before he's back.

The log file for Irss is showing "no imon device found"

I can't work out why, the imon pad is working like a mouse and wont switch. imon software is installed and not running and irss is running. I've tried both service and app modes.

The only thing I can think of is that the hardware id of my device is not recognized.

Attached is a brief hound log, with the imon software active.

Let me know if you want more details. I've used a couple of different imon manager builds, I am currently on the latest build.

A few questions about the latest IRSS build:

- how can I start the application instead of the service (to get the imon from the antec remote working)?
- I cannot get the Harmony 525 (same as 555) working with the imon device selected as MCE... correct?
- is the above going to be fixed if it doesn't work?
- in de PAD mode, I've got some problems. For example, if i click 'OK' on my remote, it reacts as a double click on the reciever side.

I must admit it's been a while since I installed a new build... did I miss some things? Can't find them in this thread though.

i've been using irss now for some months and it's working pretty fine with my imon remote (Thermaltake DH101 case).
On a fresh install i had to remove the number buttons + esc + enter from the mp plugin because they are working all the time (even in windows) and if they are also "activated" in the mp plugin i did get double presses.
The only problem i have is that the remote always starts in mouse mode. I can switch to keyboard mode with the remote and it stays in that mode until the pc is hibernated or shut down.
Any idea why this is happening ?

I've tried both modes iMon Pad and MCE - no luck
I've tried different versions of iMon SW, 6.20,7.20,7.60,7.62 - no luck
Reinstalled and cleaned up both - no luck
I've tried different builds of IRSS - no luck
Reviewed both topics: this one and "IRSS 1.4.2" - no ideas

Any ideas?

Something is talking to your device in exclusive mode so IRSS is not able to access it...
