yes i know, you are using tv server too, right?Standby cause i already uploading another file with the "TV Plugin" included.Replace "tv plugin (just extract the file inside the "windows" folder) and than configuration should work.
Here is the link: zSHARE - mpc-hc_subs_bin _based on SVN 21688_.zip

let me know if it works after that...

Ok, thanks. I am downloading now. You are correct. I use the server as well. (dont know why though... I have a single seated MP pc.)

DO I need to change / setup something in the configuration?

    Ghehehe. Crap.
Because the TVplugin version has been changed, Mediaportal.exe starts screaming the version numbers dont match...

Maybe a stupid question. Why dont we give configuration.exe the correct version number; 21688 .

I have selected "Autoload Subtitles" in Video configuration. This is always an option modiffied by cpp2008,and i like it cause after you stop a movie, subs are not showing if you start another ,atleast if you are not enabling them again with your remote.Make sure you choose codec with that use DXVA.

    Code:

I'm using my compiled MP version so i don't have this problem, but if a developer can tell me how to give the build version to files i'will be glad.I already tryed to do that myself but without success

Cpp2005 files had the same problem and if you use the original "TV Plugin" you will still be able to use MP and test the subs, but no "configuration"
The last solution is to upload my compiled version of MP cause it's already patched.

Thanks for the info and anwser.

I have it working now I think. If I realy need to go in configuration.exe I swap them for now. But for simple things I just edit mediaportal.xml. Works ok for testing only ofcourse. So you dont have to upload your entire build just yet :) thanks for the offer anyway.

Im going to test. THanks again pretoriano

Well. Here are my results for now. Everything seems to be working OK.
Im using the SAF codec installation from Hoborg. Its based on the mpc-hc codec for VC1+H.264. For mpeg I use powerdvd codec (but who cares about mpeg these days).
    Internal subs OK
    External subs OK

    Tested with
1080P wmv - The Dark Knight (external sub)
720P mkv - Enchanted (external sub)
720P mkv - Jumper (external sub)
720P mkv - Transformers (internal sub)
720P mkv - The day after tomorrow (internal sub)

All are working OK with dxva turned on. Judged this on cpu usage. Avg cpu usage during allplayback is ~ 3-5%. Normally without dxva this is 25+%

Me is very happy now :D

    [edit]
    additional info:
I have a ATI HD 4350 and im using catalyst 8.12.

At this moment, Functionwise I havent seen any problems with this upgrade. Only wish for me is a configuration.exe with the correct version number so I can still use it.

    [edit 2]
After 10 minutes of digging I found a way to alter the version number of the configuration.exe. I now have the alterred exe file with the correct version numbers. I dont know if it is allowed to upload like this, but here it is. If its not allowed, just delete the file. :)

    zSHARE - Configuration.exe

Here is a screenshot of the properties of the file.

To sum it up; What I have now is:
1 A copy of this: zSHARE - mpc-hc_subs_bin _based on SVN 21688_.zip (Only need core.dll and mpcSubs.dll. TVplugin.dll is not needed)
2 The updated configuration.exe in this post. (overwritte)

This is not supported by MediaPortal developers so please don't post bugs or any issue related to the uploaded version or regarding this subs implementation in the MP bug reports forum.THX

Mind sharing how you changed the version number?

Never mind: I just changed it in AssemblyInfo.cs and re-built Configuration.exe
