Here's an update on iPiMP progress - This week - I av mostly been moving to a new UI framework.

This has a number of advantages over IUI which iPiMP 1.0 used namely there are more functions available with it, support is better, it's actively being developed, it works better as a full screen app and it's better eye candy

I have all existing iPiMP functionality working with the new UI except TV guide search - once that's there I'll upload it.

I have also been working on the recordings side and have successfully tested recordings being automatically transcoded to MP4 and streamed via iPiMP - just click the watch button - the quality was very good and I could watch it happily with my measly ASDL upload of 448kbps. This needs tidying up to be more robust so will be a wee while yet.

So hopefully iPiMP 2 will be out soon (and will delete recordings this time), here's some screenshots of the new UI.

So live TV is not far off as well? You must be some kind of dev god!

Alas no - live TV is a different matter. I use ffmpeg to transcode recordings to MP4 however there is currently no way to transcode and stream to iPhone MP4. However I shall continue to look for ways of doing this and keeping tabs on VLC progress.
