Doesn't the MP installer installs the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable automatically? How is it possible to install MP without it?

MP 1.1.3 installer install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86). Because all filters in MP 1.2.0 Beta are moved to VS 2010 with build set to Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86), I have set IPTV filter same.

MP is in feature freeze (and the filter adds new features to MP)

Do you think that this change with specifying network interface will be in MP 1.2.0?

Hey guys,
I'm currently running the latest version of the MPIPTVSource.ax along with the modified TVLibrary.dll, MP 1.2 Beta.
I need both of these to actually have a channel picked up in the scan window.

I'm getting an issue scanning the channels in. They get picked up fine by the search however - every new channel scanned replaces the old one.
No matter how many channels I have in my playlist, at the end of the scan i'll only have one entry saved in TV channels which is the last entry in the playlist.

After first deleting ALL channels in the TVServer then performing a channel scan,
the scan window reports something like this:
Al Jazeera - New: 1 Updated: 0
Bloomberg - New: 0 Updated: 1
etc.. All subsequent channels will show Updated: 1 - Even though they never existed in the first place, they are updating the original Al Jazeera channel with the IP address of the current channel.

Sorry for the long-winded explanation, i'll have screenshots/log files ready tomorrow if you need them.

I've also tried scanning with "Create new groups for provider" and "Provider doesn't uniquely identify channels" checked. No difference.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hi all! With the latest version of MPIPTV Filter o have freezes on some channels. Sometimes image freezes and only restart of channel can improve that. Image can freeze on several seconds then channel can go again. I checked CPU usage - about 5-12% on my CoreDuo E6300. Here are logs.
On previous version (i checked right now) on this channel WAS freezes too, but they were much shorter and channel never been freezed for a long time. But in previous version was a problem with several dvb-ip cards. Any ideas of that?

I think i just figured out why this is happening, the only difference between all the channels is the actual URL.
If i manually create all the channels with the following details:

Channel: 1000
NetworkID: 0
TransportID: 1
ServiceID: 1
PmtPid: 32

And add in the respective URL for that channel - it all works fine, preview window works, etc.
So a very vague guess at what is happening (Since i don't know how the internals of the scanning/channel system works) is that the Pmt is the same for every channel and therefore it is overwriting the channel previous in the scan, I don't know I could be way off.

Can you try another video codec (ffdshow or ffdshow DXVA)? Just for excluding problems with codecs. Or you can run TvService in debug mode (run SetupTV /DebugOptions and check Dump raw TS) and try to watch same channel again. If channel freezes wait for play and then close MP and stop TvService. In timeshift folder of DVB-IP card you find TS file, which you have to analyze (just play in VLC and in message window look for problems, or send me link to file).

You're the "lucky" guy You should follow thread and wait for solution.

georgius, something strange happens. Now i have no any frame drops or freezees about a hour. It seems that when in peak times some freezes can be, but usually, with the previous version of filter, there "was not so bad"!
All i'm trying to say is that when a lot of people watchong iptv in my provider's local network in a peak time, some freezes can be, but they never becomes so critical - i need restart channels to continue watching!
So when a peak time will occure next time, i will try to wait for freezes again and send ts file to you. This time (when freezes in MP) in VLC i can only see some blocks on image and some times any artefacts, not so much at all. But it seems that iptvfilter does not like those artefacts (stream problems).
Update - about codek - i have another mediaportal clinet on another notebook. It has another codecs installed and there was same problem today - freezes.

If you have another codec on another notebook we can forget that it is codec issue. I found something interesting in TsReader.log which I never seen on my computer:

georgius, "stream is corrupted" - what does that mean? Stream is corrupted in udp stream or in tsreader? So, anyway, what to do?

This time (when freezes in MP) in VLC i can only see some blocks on image and some times any artefacts, not so much at all.

If you can see problems in VLC then problem should be in stream or on network. Also there can be problems in IPTV filter ... for this reason I added raw stream dump to file which can be analysed. You can play this dump stream in VLC and compare with stream played in VLC before. If playing dump stream is worse than problem is also in IPTV filter. If you see same problems, than IPTV filter works correctly and TsWriter, TsReader and MP can't handle with errors in stream so efficient as VLC.
