Hi,
I try to make my HTPC setup more stable and W friendly... and among the things I am trying to do is to communicate via the serial interface to the Plasma and also switching to IR Server (from HIP).
I got the serial command to work when I try them in the translator but when I try to compose exactly the same syntax in the MP blast zone plugin they fail with the message "The given path's format is not supported". This is when I test the macro, if I try to test the code string (one level down) the com port is reported busy.
My code looks like this: kc 1 1\r (for changing aspect ratio). Is there any syntax different between the translator and the MP blast zone plugin for the serial command? Or am I doing something wrong?
I could not find any log entry from the communication (logs just report successful connection of the IR Server).
I'll post an updated version over the next few days. I'm trying to get a few other bugs sorted out first, so it might be the end of the weekend before it's ready.
Or I can send you a test copy in email if you're in a hurry?
No problem, I could wait and take advantage of other fixes maybe..
Btw I noticed that it is possible to blast directly from the MP control plugin (which gave the same error), so what is the added value of using the MP blast zone rather than the control plugin?
MP Blast Zone just gives you a menu in the MediaPortal application that you can customize and put all sorts of commands in. You could use it to launch other applications, or blast ir commands, anything the MP Control Plugin can do, but in a menu.
I'm just working on what looks like a memory leak at the moment, once that is sorted out I should be able to release a new test version soon.
Hi all
i'm trying the IR Suite after testing the TV3 plugin alone, but i'm out of luck.. i have the same problem i had the the standalone plugin. The TV3 plugin works when used in the TV3 config panel, but not when changing channel from MP
here the tv server log and the ir server one.
btw, i haven't yet figured out the correct install procedure
this is what i've done
1) installed MP
2) installed TV3
3) installed MP TV3 plugin
4) installed IR Server suite adding the TV3 plugin to the default setup
5) started the TV3 config panel, and in the plugin section , selected my STB from the preset list, and tested some commands, all worked fine
6) closed TV3 conf panel , and opened the MP config one (i did nothing to config IR plugin there)
7) closed the MP config panel and launched the MP
8) tried some channels from STB... no blaster flashing, no channel changing
Hmm, it looks like the ServerBlaster plugin is enabled, but not the TV3BlasterPlugin.
Make sure you have a tick in the checkbox next to the TV3BlasterPlugin in the first plugin section. And also that you have setup channel changing for all the listed tv cards. And you probably need to disable the ServerBlaster plugin too, incase it's interfering.
If it's not that, then maybe you need to restart your tv service.
damn.. i missed the page where to enable/disable plugins... i made the same mistake with MP config, then i figured out it was on the main plugin level, not in every plugin config... and now i didn't check that for the TV3 config... i'll try as soon as i get home..
that maybe will solve the problem... that is the same i had with the standalone IR TV3 plugin (didn't check if it was enabled )
I use Vista Ultimate with MS Entertainment keyboard 7000. Use the original eHome driver.
when installing IR Suite, everything will work until i close the application. I did not test after how much time it will stop working.
Next when i restart the Server and translator, the connection to MCE will result in an error. I did not find any information within the system logs. Any clue would be appreciated.
