Since the new version doesn't have RC6 Foxtel variation decoding, I will keep using 28-10 until next version. No hurry for this, but it would be good to have it so I can include my Foxtel as well.

Ok im having a few problems with IR suite.
I am having trouble learning and then blasting remote signals with the test button. Im using a Microsoft remote in windows XP the debug program shows only 2 different codes alternating when I use the Microsft remote, but other remotes show different codes
Am I doing some settings wrong? any ideas
What I would like this program to do is Turn on and off my amp when the computer goes resume/standby and on/off. And use media portal
I have turned off my lights closed the blinds and turned off the plasma to help reduce interfearance

1: Can I use a macro to include killing a process or closing a program? I use the suite to also load pc games and some of my games require a 3rd party mapping software. However, on a couple of my games the mapping software conflicts with the game itself so I would like the ability to kill the mapping software when I go to play a game without having to manually do it.

There is no macro command for closing programs at the moment, but it's something I do mean to add. Although you can use Windows Messages to get the same effect. Or launch an external app to do it for you.

2: Does the IR server suite support profiles and switching between them via a key press on the remote? To be more clear lets say I run out of buttons to map on the remote can I map a profile to a button to load a whole new set of macros, keypresses etc. In essence making the amount of combinations endless.

There's no profile support in there at the moment, and I can't think of a temporary work-around for this ... I'll look into adding something like this in the future... The MP Control plugin has something called multi-mapping which is basically a profile type of feature. But Translator doesn't have anything like that. I'll see what I can do.

The problem is that the protocol (RC6-6-20) looks exactly the same as normal RC6 it just ends after 20 data bits. I'll look for an elegant solution, and failing that I'll just hack it in somehow

Are you using the latest version? You might need to download it again because I made a change a few hours after I posted it.

Is your MCE remote receiver a Microsoft OEM one?

Could you provide some log files as well?

I found a good workaround via google incase anyone is interested.

Create a new text file and paste this code:
TASKKILL /F /IM "Myprogram.exe"

Change Myprogram.exe to the file you want to kill

Save the text document and change the extension to .bat

Have translator point to the .bat file you just created within your maco

Hey everyone,

I've found a much better way to make the default driver act like the replacement driver. Much better than disabling HidIr.

I don't know how I didn't find this earlier...

Load "regedit.exe" and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da

Then delete the keys from "CodeSetNum0" to "CodeSetNum3".

To make sure you can recover these keys easily should you want to you should save them by using the export function in the file menu.

Once the registry has been changed you will need to reboot for the change to take effect.

This same process can be applied to disable automatic keyboard handling. Just look at the other registry sections under the "Remotes" sections.

Now if you ever want to re-enable the automatic handling of the MCE Remote and MCE Keyboard you just need to put those registry keys back.

TaskKill is a good way to do what you want. I actually use it in the installer to make sure running apps in the suite are closed before re-installing them. I'll make sure there is a built in way in the next version.

I have same issues with both latest releases;
Everything looks good - except my STB does almost never react to the blasting. Reverted to 10.28 (I think) - everything is good (AFAICT).

Just to report that Resume from S3 crash IR Server for the latest version..

Can anyone send me 2nd last version (dec 2). Last time I try it able to resume without crash.
