    sbp:

If you could point me to any other apps that have this ability maybe one of them is open source and I could learn how to do it from that ... I don't have a PVR150 so I'm struggling at the moment. But I've started to look into it again just yesterday.

I really hope I can have something for you soon.

    Cheers,

    Hi Aaron

The 10-28 version works perfectly for me! (Dont worry about debugging the replacement plugin for me; this solution works great)

Thank you once again for your work!

If the blasting and learnign logic that is in 10-28 could make it as an option to the future version it would be great.

Dear Aaron, I would like to help you as much as I can.

    1. I know that the good old MP can be controlled "out of the box" using this remote. It is also able to blast (Using TV2 engine). I know that mPod previously did some work when the Hauppage remote didn't work for some nordic Windows systems https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/problems_danes_and_stable_patches_and_hauppauge-t10006p3.html.
So somehow this piece of code must be included inside MP already????

    2. Also GbPVR can be controlled by this remote, and can blast using a call to an exe file. As described here http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31791

    3. And finally I have been using GALLM, which also is able to be controlled by the remote and blast using the attached blaster. http://www.gallm.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=1935&highlight=blast

Hope this is of some help

    Hey
I just found this about enabling PVR150 in LIRC, maybe it can be used? http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/blog/?p=24&cp=8

Thanks for the much appreciated work with your IR Server Suite. With the howto and some help of internet I have been able to get most of the MCE remote to work with Media Portal except one thing. It just dont want to resume from S3. It worked out of the box with Media Center (no seetings required).

Then I performed the HidIr-Disable - Disable Tranceiver - HidIr-Enable and enable IR Server stuff to use MP but it just dont want to resume from S3 (if it is S3 standby, but dumppo indicates it at least). It wakes up from keyboard, mouse and power button but not remote. First I noticed there was no power on the USB which I could get by using MST but it still dont power up with remote and it messed up the driver if starting with for example power button so I turned the selective usb on again.

So, to my questions or whatever you can call it.
Is eHome Tranceiver Driver together with Media Center performing some magic tricks to the USB or bios that enables the resume from standby?
Is there any way to debug what happens when the computer is in standby and it receives a USB interrupt?
Is there any other way to pinpoint where the problem might be?

    hi

ive just purchaser the pvr 150 and came across your prog
it seems great but i wondered a few things..
till now i had flyvideo and i used to control my pc ( not htpc ) with slycontrol
is there any chance of making the two work with eachother? slycontrol has an ehome plugin but its for ver. 1 only :\
if no , how do i gain windows volume control with the translator? and how do i write macros/plugins or whatever to use dscaler and winamp 5?
in dscaler im using keystrokes for now but i would like to gain more control than i can with keystrokes

it really seems like a good prog dude , great job :)

    thx in advance
    gutz :)

Dear Aaron, I would like to help you as much as I can.

Thanks mate, there should be receiver support in next version (or the very next one after that) of IR Server Suite. It will depend on 1 or 2 other things falling into place....

I'm actually considering releasing a new test version tonight if I can finish one more feature off. If I do then remote receiver support for you hardware will be in the release after that.

I've just made some more changes to the suspend/resume code and I hope it will fix this for you... It certainly fixes a few niggling issues that have been around for a while. Hopefully I'll have a new test version out in the next couple of days (maybe even within 12 hours).

yep, you can tell the IR Server to receive Windows Messages which most other PC control programs can send. You can also use it to send Windows Messages or launch external exe files on certain events. With a little bit of mucking around you can get the two talking to each other ... Though I've never seen slycontrol before so I can't be 100% certain.

I'm about to add volume control to the plugins/translator. It probably wont be in the very next test version, but hopefully the one after that.

To control other apps you can use either keystroke commands, windows messages (a lot of programs support this), tcp messages (basically telnet), and I'm adding HTTP GET requests as a command type for interacting with web based systems/interfaces.

It will really depend on what interfaces those applications expose for control... but you can always fall back to keystrokes.

    Hope that helps,

ok thx ill get into the wmsg stuff if not i would use keystrokes :)

i would love if the volume control will be able to control any port in the sndmixer and not only master volume control ( like wave , aux and whatever the sndmixer allow )
cuz ive got 5.1 analog system using ac97 and i need to control volume on : "Volume Control" , "Wave" , "Front" , "Rear" , "Center" , "Subwoofer".

    very much apprecieted :)

    New version

ok, a new version is available in the first post.

I wanted to get this out because I'm worried I may not have much time over Christmas to get all the new features finished. But I especially wanted to get the fix for standby/resume in. I really think this version will solve all the standby issues of the past ... (Now that's tempting fate!)

This version does not have support for Hauppauge devices, but I'm working on it. It should be in the next version. Other features that are coming soon are volume adjusting commands and a new option for installing the IR Server as a windows service...

Also, There is a macro converter attached to the first post. You'll need to run this to bring your macro's up to the new format or you'll have to rebuild them.

As always, please report any new or even already-existing bugs and I'll make them my top priority.

    Cheers,
