Please please please, can you send me some log files from the crash? The IR Server log and the log for whatever you where using to do the learning (MP Plugin or Translator, etc...)

Due to all the code changing in the way it handles IR Commands for MCE IR Devices there is a possibility the Pronto IR command support is not 100% bug free... I'll do some more testing here.

Unfortunately, the info I gave was all that was in the logs.
The initial crash did not show up in the logs at all, just in Windows Event Viewer (The info I posted).
The second error is what I took from the log, but I think it's just saying the server is dead (when trying to teach after the initial crash).

So I've got no other logs/info to share.

Can you give me your system specs? Basically, all the vital stats on your system. OS version, .net versions installed, any security perculiarities of your setup, IR device type (is it microsoft oem or did you get it with a tv card, etc..), etc...

I'll try to figure out what's happened, and I might ask you to try a test copy for me if that's ok?

Keyboard stops functioning when entering the IR Server Setup. Might just be my setup. Thnx mate.

Hi there, firstly thanks for all your work. I just got my MCE remote and installed it first with MCE Replacement Plugin but then realized that IR Server was a replacement for that. So I installed that instead.

Now I am trying to teach it to blast a couple of commands to another device in the same room. It seams to learn the command, but when I hit the test button I get an exception. I have attached the full error text in case that helps you in some way.

HDD access dramaticaly slow down

I've been in touch with the USBUIRT support and ran a test for them using their own application lrnhelper (with EventGhost and IRServer uninstalled) and the issue is still the same.

So my problem is definitely not linked with the IRServer code !

The USBUIRT support seems to think this could be linked with my USB host controller (really don't know how this could be solved).

But thanks for beeing concerned by my issue and really sorry to have bothered you. :sorry:

I'm working on the problem that you're having (regarding the Attached debug info).

The keyboard will stop functioning when the IR Server is in Setup ... at the moment it shuts down the receiver/transmitter component when you're in setup, but I'm going to work on making it shut down the current receiver/transmitter only if you change it.

Looks like you've got the same problem showing up that eloo has. I'll post a new test version as soon as I've got it sorted out.

Thanks for letting me know. This is good news for me, but not so good for you. I don't know what others have suggested you do about it, but all I can think of is to try updating (or maybe even downgrading) your mainboard drivers. Or try getting a cheap USB add-on PCI card and see if that works.

Ok, I've updated the test version in the first post. You only need to re-download if you use MP Control Plugin.

EDIT: The bug is fixed, and blasting works. Great work! The suite is really good, was a bit hesistant, but its great.
