For all iMON HID users. Please test this dll and let us know your findings:

SourceForge.net: MediaPortal: Detail: 2721914 - Should make the iMON HID-Devices work

    Simone

    Hi Simone,

These new dll's (tried both versions) won't work for me yet..
    I attached the logs.

I started IRSS as a service, or do I need to use the application (as we had enumeration problems in the service itself)???

    Thanks so much,
    Frank

    Frank,

yes please start it as application ( "IRServer" instead of "Input Service" ) as under Vista there is no known workarround right now.

    Simone,

Is it possible you build an application version of IRSS? My dev PC is unavailable currently.

If you install the latest build attached this thread, IRServer should be already there :p

    Simone,

If I try "IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.2627.zip" from the first post, I don't get the app. Is this the correct attachment?

    Frank

Edit: tried several things, but the application of IRSS is not installed. Please check :)

You are right, IR Server is not getting installed with this build.
I attached the files, please extract them anywhere to your pc and run "irserver.exe".
The app opens in the tray, please right-click on its symbol and choose "setup" to configure the plugin.
After that with irserver running you should at least be able to see your remote inputs in debug client.

    Hope that helps ;)

OK, first of all, I think you guys reach a milestone, because the iMon device IS detected and for the first time I get some responses from my remote!

Now I've got issues regarding the IR-commands. I setup my Logitech harmony, by adding an Antec Remote to the device list. When I select this device, I don't get the correct responses to left, right, up and down (and I think other buttons won't map correctly as well). I checked with the iMon software, here left, right, up and down are seperated neadly.

Also, when I look in the debug client, the right and down buttons get the same IR command (so I cannot map these buttons in the IRSS MP plugin, because the plugin thinks you've used the command already). The same occurs for left and up. I've also tried the abstract remote setting (in the IRServer settings), now I get other IR-command numbers, but the same problem as without the setting.

As told earlier, a milestone has been reached!

    Will post logs soon....

Thanks so much so far!!! :D

    I'll help wherever I can.

    Greets,

    Frank
