So Ive got IR suite prev 4 working great, blasting etc. But I'd still like to further map my MCE remote/keyboard functions keys to MP.

How would I, for example, map my "Green Button" to start media portal, which right now is a shortcut CTRL+ALT+M?
Or make the "My Radio" button do the GUI toggle (F1)?

thanks for your reply, as I said in a previous post, I no longer really have the mjor issue of nothing working properly after standby. however, what I am noticing is that I need to rerun the "input service" for it to restart it, so I get my mce remote green button to start MP. Although it is configured to start MP - it usually starts MCE (vista)... and only after input service restart does the green start button again start MP instead of the MCE.

any ideas? thanks again for this great piece of kit.

I believe you just need to select "system wide"... add "new" learn the command from your remote by pressing it when it ask you to... and then select it launch a program... and browse for the MP exe.
thats what I did... though it still occasionally decides to start MCE for some reason...

Hey aaron,

hadn't much time to test or to give feedback about preview 5 and direct input, last days.

But here are my first notes:
I get a few exceptions when i try to open directinput configuration.
after copying all Microsoft.DirectX*.dll from mpdir to irss\input service\config i am able to access the setup form

unfortunately, my plasma does not react to this new IR file any more. Blaster-LED flashes but the Sequence does not recognize the plasma.

I would not like further to take your time. I intend you are closed good to work but to deal with my problems.
Nevertheless many thanks for your help. Perhaps there is the possibility sometime of adapting this in the programme.

I've made some standby/resume changes for the next test version... but also make sure you've tried to use MCE Standby tool to correct any issues.

I'm also going to add a new feature soon that will let the user completely disable (not just terminate) the MCE services... but not before 1.0.4.2 is out.

Try to find a discreet code in philips pronto format (ccf) on the internet ... try RemoteCentral.com and Google.

Sorry I couldn't help you more, it seems like your plasma is a bit picky...

There will be a new preview version within a few hours... I'm just testing it. If it works well for the wider community then there will be a 1.0.4.2 final release within days.

The most current SVN releases do not load the TV3 blaster plugin anymore. The error log shows the error message mentioned ::here::.

Update: Fixed with latest SVN (tested with tvengine3-03-28-2008--05-09h--Rev18341.zip)

The next release (which I'm hoping to release today) will have that fixed (but it then wont work with earlier versions).

I hope to have the new version out today, except that I can't test it with the new SVN because it's not installing properly on my PC...

As soon as I can finish testing it I'll be releasing a 1.0.4.2 preview 6, this will be the last preview version before 1.0.4.2 final.

Try using the Translator app to map those buttons.

The translator is crashing on launch (Has encountered an error and must shut down) I guess I will try he latest version and see if that helps.

Nevermind, I tried the new IR Suite Prev 5 and the translator works great. Thx!

Macro

Hi Aaron

Have to say that I love your software, its really great for integrating different products. I have a question not related to any error.

I'm building a macro, which is working fine now. The macro is about 10 minutes. Is there any way to disable the IR input during this event. Having problems with "users" not being patient with the remote.

I was thinking something in the line of, putting a command in top and button of the macro that locked the IR receiver.

NB, Its a MCE external device.
