You are in the right place.
Assuming you have your AMP vol up and vol down saved as IR commands. Go into map buttons, as you did, and under My remote buttons go to Vol+. Expand the option and you will find this is where the generic vol + command is for MP. With the generic option highlighted, add a new option with the button at the bottom. Highlight this new option and move it above the generic option, this means it will be processed before the generic option, leaving that as your fall-back option. Keeping your new option highlighted: 1) select the condition you wish this to occur in DVD playing etc 2) select the action, in this case Blast IR, then select your saved IR command from the drop-down list below. 3) hit the apply button. 4) repeat for Vol-.
If the drop-down list has nothing in, you haven't saved your IR command. Go to the IR commands tab on the plug-in main screen and check to see if it is populated.
