IR Server Suite - Version 1.4.2 Test Build 3158/3281 (4 Viewers)

I haven't been successful in getting IRSS 1.0.4.2 to work with my iMon and Harmony 525 (as MCE remote). I have a Silverstone GD-01MX case with the USB Soundgraph LCD. I am currently using keyboard mappings in IMon with the shortcuter plugin in MP. All is working ok, expect that the remote continually double-clicks and I would like to get away from having iMon software running as it causes problems every so often.

I have done the following:

1. installed and upgraded iMon software to 7.40
2. installed IRSS 1.0.4.2 suite and copied iMon dll and MP plugins into appropriate directories.
3. Configured IRSS 1.0.4.2 to use the iMon receiver, and to receive MCE buttons
4. Loaded up MCE button codes into Harmony using MediaPortal, MCE 2004 and MCE remote settings (3 different settings to test).
5. Enabled plugins in MP
6. Tried turning on and off the MCE remote mapping in remotes section of MP config.
7. Closed or opened iMON software tool for testing.

I gather that the iMON software does not need to be running, but I tried both options anyway.

I get no response in MP from the remote. I also tried my iMon remote control and I followed a guide in this forum to get this working.. but no response.

Hi zanlation,

You get any response at all (for example in the plugins manager) or in the IR Keymapping tool?
You can also try the test builds (as states on the first post in this thread).

Let me know how this works out. I'm struggling with the same setup, except i've got the 885 remote (Practically the same as 585 i think). If i could get this to work, it would be great to leave out the iMON software.

I'm having the same problems with a new Antec Case , which is called the Antec Veris Remote (black). It has a (I think) new LCD unit, with a white-coloured background. I cannot get it to work with IR server... frustrating.

The iMon manager isn't a good alternative as I use a Logitech Harmony remote which is far more advanced than the Microsoft MCE remote.

Any progress on your work? Let me know!

Hi All,

I'm trying to setup IR Server Suite to change the channel on a NZ Sky Decoder (Motorola DTH-335) with a Hauppauge 45 button remote. The Hauppauge receiver is plugged directly into my PVR150 capture card via a 2.5mm plug.

I have version 1.4.2 RC1 of IRSS installed and have selected the Hauppauge remote in the Input Service Configuration, however when I enter the Learn IR commands section of the Translator tool to learn the codes from the SKY remote, as soon as I click Learn I get a Learn IR failed message.

Is there something I'm missing? Can anybody offer any ideas?

I've been running MCE Replacement for a couple years now with MP 2.3 and earlier. No problem blasting the channel changes to my sat. receiver.

I'm running a Hauppuage 150MCE tuner card.

I've now installed the latest MP version, both server and client. No SVNs. I'm trying to get IRSS 1.03 or 1.04 to blast but nothing happens.

I'm having the same problem as the last message. Keep getting a 'time out' error when I try to program the numbers. I even copied over the blast IR commands from the MCE Replacement install because I know they work but that didn't make any difference. No blasting. Not a single blink of the 'little red eye'

I also did the regedit that I read about.

Anyone have any suggestions for getting the blaster going again. I've run out of ideas.

Any update on my post concerning the Antec Remote (new) case (with new LCD unit - white background)?
Like I said earlier, will do anything to get it working. Do you need the firmware string stated in the iMon manager?

btw: Is the IRSS open source?

with the "Experimental Mac Mini receiver support" - can i use an MCE Remote with the Built-In IR-Receiver ?

I have tried this and it will not work...
