Translator - Command Priority Patch

I've had some issues with Translator, not being able to define the priority to use for lunched programs, e.g. I want to launch my media player with a priority AboveNormal using my remote control. Today I had some spare time to test it... Patches (for the current source as is 2008-11-30) are supplied in the attachment.

An extra drop down box is added on the forms defining "run command". Current configurations, having no priority info, will automatically fall back to Normal when the command is run. When an entry is edited it will automatically be given a priority. WIth this said, the patches won't do any harm on current configurations. It's an non-intrusive add-on.

Impl. details: An extra option, {8}, was added to to be recognized by the CommandString and used when launching the command. The option is supposed to hold the name of the PriorityClass, e.g. Normal, BelowNormal, AboveNormal, etc. Drop downs are filled by the to all values from ProcessPriorityClass. Not hard coded!

and-81, hope you like it and update subversion with the changes :)

Latest version attached on first post.

iMON PAD users: please attach logs if this version is not working, I improved logging of the method that I think fails and need to verify if it's the same issue for all of you.

Hi, could someone help me turn on/off my ampli with blaster. Translator well learn the remote code, when blasting it, my blaster blink red, but my ampli do not respond..... trying the same with my old sony TV turn the same result.
My blasters work as learning and blasting a remote code of a philips equipment work perfectly, so the problem seem be with sony one.
Thank in advance for your help.

    My config:
IR receiver and blaster OrigenAE ir221 (philips)
    Ampli Sony STR-DE475
    Remote RM-U305

Have you tried to have the blaster as near the amp ir reciever as possible ?
I had the same problem, were adviced to put blaster just above ir reciever and it worked.
The only version of IR Server suite that had a better/stronger signal was in Oct 07.

Did you try to blast from the command line utility, or I beleive there is also a test possible after learning. does that work? That's to confirm that the learned code actually works.

Are you sure the amp does not receive the IR signal from the bug and the remote at the same time? You may need to cover the IR receiver of the amp.

Yes my tests have been made with the blast fonctionnality (and so without using the remote to isolate the problem) just after the learning process in translator, and it did not work.

I've aloso tried to have my mce remote learn the code from my amp remote (and it work perfectly), then have translator learn the power button from my mce remote, but the same result as learning it directly from my amp remote.

I recall that I didn't manage to learn any commands with IRsuite either.

Eventually I used codes that I downloaded from the internet and then extracted. But I don't know exactly how.

It then still didn't work and that had to do with the replacement driver. That you need, or don't need, or don't need if you edit the registers. I couldn't even tell you for sure what I ended up with that it now works.

I'm not being very helpful I'm afraid.

When you blast is the flash on your bug a short, dim flash or a long, bright flash? I have had a similar problem from time to time. I'm not sure whether IRSS isn't correctly learning the command and saying it is or isn't correctly blasting. Look for the long, bright flash and keep re-learning until you see that. When I'm learning commands, I have the best luck when the remote I'm learning from is placed directly in front of my receiver (almost touching).
